@BaseballU I could understand letting 7th & 8th graders who play HS baseball to use drop 5. I think 6 is a little ridiculous and no way upper class kids should be able to use them.

The new rule starting in 2028 to allow -3, -4,-5 and -6 is nothing more than another participation trophy in today's sports. The rule was for safety when we went -3 and BBCOR bats have come a LONG way. So I guess we can expect on a players profile Bat: -5 or -3, -6. College coaches have a new criteria to add to their recruiting component. If this game wasn't broken enough from youth to @MLB we just added some whipped cream on it.

@CoachSwit @Ecrbaseball Would generally agree, but I coach HS baseball at PACT Charter school and we’re 7-12th grade. Most of those 7th graders don’t have any business swinging a -3 bbcor bat. Their Summer teams don’t make them, but if you’re a 11/12th grader trying to swing a -6 that’s dumb.
