While gender sensitivity is an ideal human value, there is another side we cannot ignore. A journalist recalls how his male cameraman was sexually assaulted by a female JNU protester. The cameraman could not shut down his camera because the reporter was going live. The female protester kept assaulting and the cameraman was in pain, tears flowing from his ears. Quite possible that this protester will land up a job in some College or University. She will then try to prepare her monster clones. This episode that he narrates is from an older protest. I have come to a conclusion that certain ideological indoctrinations make people inhuman. For them ideological and doctrinal pursuit becomes so strong that they don’t hesitate to indulge in violence, guile and filthy abuse. Both Marxists and Islamists belong to this camp.

But police routinely change routes of Hindu processions to avoid mosques citing the need to “maintain peace”
Because there is at least a 200 years old history of stone-pelting on Hindu processions for praying music outside mosques. If nothing else, read Ambedkar’s Pakistan and Partition of India
Not advocating stone-pelting, but breach of peace - and not written laws - is the reason behind many existing social impositions
Hindus maintain peace under provocation, so they are given arguments like ‘which laws prohibits this’ or ‘which Hindu text prohibits that’…

This is a bad spin, Anupama. In film parlance that you understand well, this is called forced beat, unearned moment or convenient writing. When screenplay forces a moment that rest of the story hasn’t earned. It never works because it breaks trust with the audience, Makes characters look fake and takes away from real tension. This moment has nothing to do with your personal experience. It isn’t about you at all. So sit down.
And unsolicited advice: Problem isn’t your likes and dislikes. You are perfectly entitled to those. But if you are in a film review business you must learn to work around your biases. When your biases show in your work, that is when you get trolled.
