NAS Community Volunteer Award Winner Simon Taylor from Blessington, Co Wicklow has attended countless callouts throughout the years, including many cardiac arrests. Simon is one of our Group Trainers and regularly leads the monthly training sessions.

It's very fitting that today's presentation fell on the day dedicated to healthcare volunteers. We'd like to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers and to everyone who volunteers their time. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our community.

Two of our members had the opportunity to attend a presentation in Dublin this evening by the @AmbulanceNAS for National Volunteering Week, recognising the work done by Community First Responders throughout the COVID19 pandemic. @ARoss_NASNL_CEO @CFRIreland

A big thank you to Servier Ireland Industries, Arklow for their donation as part of their CSR (corporate, social, responsibility) programme. Helping out local charities and voluntary organisations in the community. John Gahan presented the cheque on their behalf.

Please note that the defibrillator at Pat O'Toole Park / Avonmore FC is currently out of service. The nearest defibrillator is outside the Craft Butchers on Main Street. We hope to have this defibrillator returned to service soon.

We hope to take delivery of our new #Emergency #RRV in about a week. Work is continuing to convert the Trinity Skoda Kodiaq for emergency use, including: installation of emergency lights, sirens & auxiliary battery and application of high vis reflective livery.

Delighted to hear An Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD recognising the work being done by our dedicated @AmbulanceNAS community first responders. They have evolved their practices to provide emergency care in their communities with safety a priority while responding in a pandemic.

Our Drone team was tasked by the Arklow @gardai_ww to assist in a multi agency Search for a missing person in Brittas Bay this afternoon. RIP @IrishCoastGuard @CivilDefenceIRL @wicklowcoco @wicklowlifeboat

We're delighted to be back responding with @AmbulanceNAS. Special Thanks to @AvocaCfr and @BrayCFR for helping get our volunteers re-certified and to @ARoss_NASNL_CEO for the PPE assessments recently.
