Thank you to all the amazing Midwives, student Midwives and Doctors @WishawGen who helped our baby girl to arrive safely yesterday. The care we received from everyone at Maternity Triage & the Labour ward was outstanding

This does NOT apply in Scotland at this stage. I am acutely aware of how difficult the current restrictions are for those ‘shielding’ but we must find the safest way forward and do so in a considered way - that is why @scotgov has committed to issuing new guidance ASAP.

BREAKING: 2.2 million people who’ve been shielding can go outside for first time tomorrow. Either with members of household, or if they live alone to meet 1 person. PM says “I don’t underestimate just how difficult it has been for you...I want to pay tribute to your resilience”
