- The American base was attacked by missiles and drones.
- KC-135s - a key element of US aviation - are aerial refueling aircraft that allow fighters and bombers to operate at long distances and stay in the air longer.
- Without them, the range, pace, and flexibility of the entire air campaign plummet.
- The USA has about 400 such aircraft, and despite their age, they remain the backbone of refueling aviation. This is actually critical infrastructure, the loss of which directly impacts the ability to conduct operations.
- If the data is confirmed, this will mean not just damage to equipment, but a blow to the very logistics and sustainability of US air operations in the Middle East.
