In Texas, approximately 64% of private schools are religious, that infers the other 36% are not. It isn't always for religious reasons people attend religious private schools. I am friends with a Jewish guy and a Protestant guy who both went to Catholic private schools, not because their parents wanted them to be good Catholics, but because they wanted them to learn more and get more from school.

@JohnGal20571788 @statesman And yes I am aware I am one person. I'd also state Texas has repeatedly underfunded public education here and recapture has its own set of problems. It would be great if Texas funded our schools. Perhaps if we did our education would be on par with other states.

@RayAnnD21 @statesman My statement has nothing to do with who is already in private school. It is that we have any kids in private school. Tax payers spend a fortune to ostensibly have the best education possible for future generations, but instead it is so bad that no one wants to be in it.
