Everyone gets angry about fractional offsides, but to me there's an obvious issue:
*No matter what the offside rule should/shouldn't be, there's always going to be players microscopically beyond that line*
5cm tolerance? Then 5.01cm is offside, so there's always harsh cut-offs.

Florian Wirtz goal against Fulham was given due to the so-closed “5cm tolerance rule” however, Phil Foden’s arse cheek is 1cm offside and the goal is disallowed.

This is absolutely preposterous. Nobody in the world thinks that is offside. It’s not clear, it’s not obvious. It’s the latest lesson of the idea to stop goals being scored.
