Update: We have learnt from social media that the Court of Appeal appears to have stayed the High Court Judgment that had declared the Office of Advisors to the President and the subsequent staffing unconstitutional. On 23rd February 2026, the Court of Appeal heard the Attorney General's application to stay the judgment and declined the request to grant an interim stay pending the delivery of the Ruling on 24 April 2026. The news of this ruling today comes as a shock, as it was due to be delivered in a month and we, the Petitioners at the High Court and the main Respondent at the Appeal, have received no notice. Apart from the copy circulating in the social media, we are yet to receive the Ruling from the Court of Appeal. .@joshuamalidzo .@NoraMbagathi

Since November 2024, residents of Kibiku, Ngong, have faced repeated attempts to evict them from Keekonyokie community land—land they have lived on, raised their families and buried their loved ones for over three decades. In December they were attacked by some people escorted by police officers who were claiming they were there to evict them. The confrontation between the residents, and the outsiders left a police officer dead, and several residents were injured, among them Joseph Lemayan who was left with a head fracture, and Maryanne Kerei who had a miscarriage. I visited the families of the injured, and those whose homes were destroyed. I addressed an impromptu community and emphasized the need of unity as they defend their ancestral land from cartels who want to evict them, illegal subdivide and sell the land. The community have gotten stay orders from the eviction of subdivision of the land 2682 acres. Today, l stood with them in solidarity, demanding justice, and the protection of community land rights. I advised them to also consider Alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
