Notes: > Cole Hocker led by .19 with 400 to go, won by 4.55 secs. > His time at 1500m, 3:30.80, is also an American record. > After 0-9 stretch in 2025, he is 6-0 in last six finals. > He spoke about someday running 3:42 mile, which would be an outdoor world record

RUN IT BACK AT MILLROSE 🔁 Double Olympic bronze medalist and indoor 3000m/5000m world record holder Grant Fisher and Olympic 1500m champion and 5000m World champion Cole Hocker are set for a highly anticipated rematch this time over the two-mile at the 2026 Millrose Games on February 1st in New York City. At the 2025 Millrose Games, Fisher outkicked Hocker in a historic 3000m duel that saw Fisher set the world record in 7:22.91. Hocker was right behind him in 7:23.14 – both under the previous world record. Now, Josh Kerr’s two-mile world record of 8:00.67, set at Millrose in 2024, is on watch. 🗣️ Hocker: “Millrose is the place to be. The performances match the atmosphere, and anytime something’s in New York, it’s going to be special. The crowd feels like it’s right on top of the track, which is great for racing. And the stadium setup just creates this amazing energy. Highly recommend going if you haven’t.” 🗣️ Fisher: “You’re guaranteed electric performances and most years you get several historic ones. It’s my favorite indoor meet: intimate, loud, historic building…. The atmosphere is unreal. Everyone shows up ready for a battle.” The full field for the race will be announced at a later date. 📰 Read more on Cole Hocker + Grant Fisher's upcoming race & some of their thoughts on 2026: citiusmag.com/articles/grant… 🎟️ Tickets for the 118th edition of the Millrose Games are now on sale.

BREAKING NEWS: Zurich Diamond League organizers have announced that the three men's 1,500m Olympic medalists -- Cole Hocker 🥇, Josh Kerr 🥈 and Yared Nuguse 🥉 -- along with 5,000m gold medalist Jakob Ingebrigtsen will square off again in the 1,500m in Zurich. It will be a rematch of the epic 1,500m from Paris that saw Hocker make an inside move for gold down the homestretch. Nuguse took home the win in this event in Zurich last year, just beating out Kerr at the line in 3:30.49.

Dear Ed Eyestone (BYU), THANK YOU for taking a 9:20 3200 meter HS kid and developing into a silver medalist. These days, colleges won’t look at you unless you’re under 9:00. Hopefully, that can change. ED certainly changed Kenneth, didn’t he….

Another brave run 💪 In his Olympic debut, 27-year-old Conner Mantz claims top American honors in tbe Olympic marathon with a 2:08:12 performance. Mantz tried to stay with the leaders early on and was challenging eventual winner Tamirat Tola halfway, then hung on through the second half hills to finish 8th. Mantz matches Galen Rupp’s 8th-place finish from Tokyo as the top U.S. performance on the day.

🗣️ "Coach @ddosanjhtaylor always writes the cards. She’s known for her cards. When I was reading that one this time I definitely got chills all over my body. Just so good, so powerful. She was like, ‘I’m so proud of who you’ve become in this sport. Run for that. Run with humility. Run for God.' All of those things. She has the best pep talks. If you know her, you know she’s very passionate and very inspirational.” Whittni Morgan talks about the final advice given to her by coach Taylor. Morgan advances to the 5000m final with her sixth place finish in her heat with a season's best of 15:02.14. Team USA advances all three women to the 5000m final, which will be on Monday. 🇺🇸 #Paris2024 #Olympics #Athletics
