@LPVT802 If they don't disaffiliate LPNH, we're building a liberty movement outside the Libertarian Party and would be more than happy to take you and your fellow non-racist affiliates in.

Vermont Libertarian Party
One week from today we find out how much the LP wants to live; if the delegates disaffiliate LPNH, the party can be put back on track. If the delegates do not disaffiliate LPNH, it's over. This is what the party gets for ignoring the problem for years. Disaffiliate LPNH!

We know why it's sinking, because we have the numbers. The Republican attack on the party starting in November 2020 has destroyed 80% of membership and donations. That includes the absolute evil that is the LPNH takeover with clowns like Kauffman. It includes Heise and McArdle. It included Dave Smith. We're seeing their bullshit be pushed out and states doing so growing like crazy. It's pretty simple: this is a political party for Libertarians and not Republicans. Fight the Republicans out of the party and it'll explode again. 45% of the country is ready for that change now.

The LP spends more time fighting over who controls the life raft than asking why the ship keeps sinking in the first place.

Why does capitalism need so many subsidies?
Hedgie@HedgieMarkets

🦔Meta's $10 billion Hyperion data center in Richland Parish, Louisiana, will receive $3.3 billion in state and local tax breaks over 20 years, enough to fund the state's entire police budget for more than seven years. The deal exempts Meta from sales and use taxes on roughly $35 billion in GPUs. Louisiana is one of 36 states offering tax breaks for data centers, with Virginia foregoing $1.9 billion annually, Georgia $2.6 billion, and Texas jumping from $150 million to over $1 billion in a single year. Only 11 of those 36 states disclose which companies receive the breaks. Local opposition blocked 48 data center projects worth $156 billion in 2025. My Take Louisiana taxpayers are subsidizing Meta's GPU purchases at a rate exceeding what the state spends on most of its public services, and Meta is spending $135 billion on capex this year. The company does not need help getting off the ground. The justification comes down to 500 operational jobs once construction ends, which does not pencil out in any honest accounting of public investment return. The race keeps happening because states are competing against each other, and the only beneficiaries are the hyperscalers playing them off. 25 of the 36 states giving away billions refuse to disclose which companies are receiving the breaks, which removes the accountability that would normally check this kind of arrangement. Good Jobs First says the $3.3 billion estimate likely understates the true subsidy because nobody outside the deal actually knows what got promised in the contract. Local opposition blocking $156 billion in projects last year is the only mechanism currently slowing the race, and the disparity between what hyperscalers are getting and what communities receive in return is wide enough that a reckoning on these deals is coming. The only question is whether it arrives before the next 3,000 data centers get built or after. Hedgie🤗

The LP would be better off had Ron Paul never been born. On net, the damage he's caused the movement - and the party - vastly outweigh whatever good can be claimed from his actions.

@amitylee13 One of the primary issues in the caucus wars is one is doing actual real human action in the real world and the others are just detracting by typing it out feverishly instead.

I’ve been getting it from all sides this week. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Been there, done that, got the t-shirt in 2024. I’m staying out of internal Libertarian Party caucus wars. If you are focused on fighting against government tyranny and moving the needle of liberty, I’ll work with you. ✌🏼

On April 4th, a likely mentally-ill African man was behaving erratically in a Market Basket parking lot. I exchanged words with him, encouraging him to leave both the parking lot and the beautiful state of New Hampshire entirely. For this, I was arrested. Neither of us came within physical reach of one another, and I expect the matter to be dropped by the city of Manchester. Additionally, I am exploring legal action against the city. This incident is yet another example of how our government treats mentally-ill and dangerous African men as saints, and how the police prevent decent men from maintaining order in American cities and towns. The footage of my arrest is below. As someone who loves New Hampshire and attempts to make our state look good, it embarrasses me that our police our this incompetent.

As a delegate to this year’s Libertarian Party National Convention, I joined many members from the Christian and Pro-Life caucuses in making it clear, both during a Platform Committee meeting and through member surveys, that we vehemently oppose adding abortion language back into the national platform. I have been a member of the Libertarian Party since 2013, though for many years my involvement remained limited because the abortion plank conflicted with my conscience. When that plank was removed in 2022, I was genuinely encouraged. I expressed that support by purchasing a lifetime membership and becoming actively involved at the local, state, and national levels. There are several proposed platform and bylaw revisions I support and intend to vote for at convention next week. However, if the majority of the delegation votes to add abortion language back into the platform, I can no longer continue associating my name with the party. Beyond alienating many existing members, abortion policy has been returned to the states, making a national platform position unnecessary. Likewise, liberty belongs equally to every human being. A platform dedicated to individual freedom should avoid divisive identity-based ideology and culture war language. We do not need race or gender ideology language to defend liberty. Expanding the platform in ways that divide people will not strengthen the movement, it will weaken it. If you are a delegate, I urge you to vote “no” to these proposed platform revisions.
Ben Weir@Weir4Liberty

I'm hoping that the National Libertarian Party delegates reject all platform and bylaw proposals that get presented in Grand Rapids. The platform is not a marketing tool, but woke leftists on the national platform committee just want to virtue signal with it and turn the LP into a pro-abortion/condem bigotry/pro-trans organization with their proposals. I reject the idea that the National LP platform needs to include language about gender identity, specifically add back in pro-abortion rhetoric, and trying to add back "bIgOtRy Is IrRaTiOnAl AnD rEpUgNaNt" retardation. If you are going to Grand Rapids, REJECT ALL amendments to the platform or bylaws.
