@RnaudBertrand As a dual citizen, the collapse of the U.S.–Canada alliance hurts me deeply bcuz My identity is rooted in both countries. Trump didn’t just dismantle the image of America I grew up believing in he also threatened to damage Canada’s in the process. That line can’t be uncrossed.

@jaketapper And his handpicked candidates will be defeated. But @jaketapper you should be ashamed for amplifying the Epstein class over their victims. Disgraceful

@Acyn Ah yes, 1976: when the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration under a disco ball. 🪩 Honestly, what’s funnier—erasing 200 years of history, or John Fetterman demanding a ballroom? Can't wait to see him waltzing in a double-breasted tuxedo hoodie. Happy 50th, America! 🇺🇸🥂

Fetterman: I think the reflecting pool and the ballroom are entirely appropriate. America is turning 50 years old. Why would we want to make sure everything looking great. We need a ballroom.

It is amazing how little the press is willing to dissect US decline under Trump. The US got no help with Iran, was scolded on Taiwan, says it got a small Boeing deal (China has not confirmed) and Trump appeased on Chinese students, microchips, etc. Xi even insulted US power. And yet it is being reported as a modest successful event. It was a strategic failure by the US and marks a notable moment in US decline.

I'm starting to think that Mark Carney is not a Liberal, a conservative, or a politician. He's a business man. Right now Canada is his business & he wants to make it successful. The Prime Minister is working on behalf of all Canadians. I am confident he will succeed. 👏 👏

@rupasubramanya Uganda was and is a sovereign country. It was a post-colonial climate. Minorities were being expelled all over Africa. Indians were not a special group, unfortunately.

In 1947, the partition of British India displaced more than 14 million people and left millions dead in one of the bloodiest upheavals of the twentieth century. Families were butchered, women abducted, entire communities wiped out almost overnight. Likewise, when Idi Amin expelled roughly 80,000 Asians from Uganda in 1972, including families like Zohran Mamdani’s own, they lost homes, businesses, property, and entire lives in an instant. What both have in common, the people who survived partition and Idi Amin's expulsion, is that they did not build permanent political identities around inherited victimhood. Their children and grandchildren were encouraged to rebuild, integrate, and move forward, not inherit grievance as a lifelong political identity.

Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed. Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.

It cannot be the case that the projects that get prioritized in Canada are those where a Premier threatens to leave the country. Next week, I’ll be meeting with the Prime Minister to bring him a list of projects we can work on for the benefit of all Canadians.

@joekent16jan19 Lmao. Everyone knows Iran said the USA would regret the day Trump tore up the JCPOA. Look it up. They didn’t fear Trump. They knew he was an ignoramous who thinks killing Iranian leaders will cripple a suicidal regime. Stop it. We aren’t stupid.

Prior to letting the Israelis lead us into this war, President Trump was actually poised to cut a better deal than the JCPOA (aka the Obama Iran deal). The Iranians feared and respected Trump in a way they never respected Obama—he took out the terror mastermind Qasem Soleimani, yet was prudent enough not to get sucked into the quicksand of another Middle Eastern quagmire that would only favor Iran and strengthen its hardliners. That’s why, as soon as he returned to office in January 2025, the Iranians stopped their proxies from attacking us and were immediately open to negotiations. President Trump can still correct course, but he has to break the current stalemate cycle we are in: Get us out of the military standoff. Restrain the Israelis. Leverage the potential of sanctions relief to open the Strait of Hormuz and secure a new deal on the nuclear issue.
Marco Foster@MarcoFoster_

President Obama on Iran: “We pulled it off without firing a missile. We got 97% of their enriched uranium out. There’s no dispute that it worked and we didn’t have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz”

I mean the issue was not with the title of Doctor. It was with your misuse of the title of physician. Michigan law is clear: A Physician is someone who is licensed or authorized to practice medicine. Seeing as you never even started a residency program, you have never been licensed or authorized to practice medicine… Yet here you are in an interview nodding along when someone calls you a physician…I would think a medical professional as yourself would not want to mislead the public that you are addressing as to your qualifications/experience… Not to mention your LinkedIn says you are a physician as well… Strange behavior if I’m being honest…
