If the #49ers’ biggest 2026 acquisition is getting healthy, they are going to have a rough year. -They lost to the Rams 42-26 on November 9th -They lost to the Seahawks 13-3 on January 3rd -They lost again to the Seahawks 41-6 on January 17th. -Getting Bosa, Fred, and Mykel Back will obviously help, but SF has a dozen needs that have to be filled and a few that must be filled with foundational types of players. Getting those new team pillars had better be the biggest offseason acquisitions or the Niners are completely cooked. The truth: Seattle is younger and more talented. The 49ers were among the NFL’s oldest rosters in ‘25. This offseason needs to be more about building the new core, then trying to squeeze 1 or 2 more good years out of the old core.

@imightbepop 2022 was one of the most fun non-Super Bowl seasons for the Seahawks. Every game was house money since they were expected to be terrible but still ended up making the playoffs

Even if they thought the Hawks were an early / mid round exit in the playoffs, it would have required an extra 2nd round pick to equate to what they eventually got from the Ravens. The Raiders could be skeptics on the 2026 Ravens also, see the curious case of the Russell Wilson and the 2022 Broncos.
Also I’m content with doing no revisionist history on a season THE SEAHAWKS WON THE SUPER BOWL.

ESPN sources: the Raiders agreed to trade five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two 1s back to Vegas.
