The descendants of settler-colonial convicts can never understand attachment to a homeland they did not steal.

This is exactly why I believe: if you want to come to New Zealand, you need to change quite a few things especially your mindset, values, and way of life. Of course, you can keep parts of your own culture, but you must genuinely embrace and respect the local culture and norms here. That way, immigration becomes real integration, not just one-sided population export.

Right thing for New Zealand. We can fine tune the immigration. But NZ needs trade, look at what the china deal does, the UK deal labour did not so good. I am hoping NZ can trade with Iran under a change of regime as we did before. Trade brings a better standard of living.
