Building a startup is easily one of the hardest things you can choose to do. But building it with the right person is the part that truly feels like a blessing. It may have been serendipity that @harshilmathur was my junior at @iitroorkee . We often joke that he wasn’t the first person I asked to build the startup with me. He was probably the fifth one. But to his credit, he is the only one who said yes! From day one, he brought this insane mix of courage, curiosity and “let’s just go for it” energy that made me believe we could take on any challenge that came our way. We are both very different people but we build on each other’s strengths and give space for each other’s personalities as co-founders to make the company better. And somehow always end up laughing through the chaos. 10+ years later, @Razorpay is a huge part of our story… but the bigger part for me is the friendship. Harshil is the glue for our leadership team, for our friend circle, for all of us at Razorpay. Grateful to have a co-founder like him. Luckier to have a friend like him. Happy 35th birthday, Harshil! 🎉 Here’s to many more years of building, arguing, dreaming, laughing and doing insane ambitious things together.
