@conorsmurf I don't like it. The sentiment behind it is fine but a voucher system to be spent at a local bookshop would be preferable. Students have no respect for their books, I also find it highly frustrating that we are being told that we can't mark them. So students can't annotate or...

Question: How are English teachers finding the book scheme? Any unintended consequences?

@conorsmurf Our first years didn't get books this year, only ebooks. As a parent, I asked why, was told the grant only covered ebooks but if I really wanted a book for my son in 1st, they'd do their best to get one. 2 years previously, hard books for home, ebooks for school on their devices

Students and staff alike have had great fun celebrating World Book Week in CPC this week.  English classes had the opportunity to ‘guess the teachers shelfie’ and match the teacher to their baby photo and childhood book!  This has led to great intrigue and excitement!

Some fun pun treats for the staff of @CPCKilcullen today to celebrate #WorldBookDay2024 its no surprise that they were all gone by lunchtime!!!
