@sharkinjeans1 The last kat I had on the road was a 750 Pop-Up and although it was basically an ES in a party frock it was a great all rounder.
English

@ReaRepairs Awwwww too cute , I have been lucky enough to have had 6 of em (1x250 /2x750 & 2x1100)… much fun and interesting track day experiences where indeed had , I hope your Katuga riding friend has miles of smiles too 😁
English

@classicrider @AllegedlyDrew You see similar stuff about food, Police, Gov't, medical care etc etc. It's such tiresome nonsense.
English

@ReaRepairs @AllegedlyDrew It seems to get pointed out as some kind of genetic flaw, weird. Seems to me that, if summers regularly get warmer, people will do something radical and…buy air conditioning if they wish. Has nothing to do with being a retard or a libtard, fuktard or whatever orange ppl think🤷♂️
English

@classicrider @AllegedlyDrew Why are so many people obsessed with what other people do or don't do?
Whatever the temperature is in the USA and how they do or don't deal with it doesn't affect people in the UK in any way, and vice versa.

English

@AllegedlyDrew No, we’re not. Thank goodness for Europe, breathtaking countries, diverse cultures, beautiful souls, wonderful food and historic architecture that only we can boast.
Americans, crack on with your 6 packs & 6 guns, Mar-A-Lago faces, ICE and hate, we’re ok ta.

Rea Repairs retweetledi

Good morning everyone, please read;
The last few days here on X/Twitter have been bizarre to say the least.
Most of you will have seen what has been going on, but now is the time to put an end to it, for everyone's sake. 🙏
What has made this particularly difficult is the fact that the other account involved runs a hedgehog rescue charity. Many of my followers also follow this account, and vice versa.
We're all supposed to be on the same side!
All my correspondences during this are easily visible by clicking my 'replies' tab, I've not deleted anything and I maintain I have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide.
I was going to address every hurtful thing I've been accused of, but I'm tired of defending myself, and just want all of this unpleasantness to stop.
To that end, I won't be replying anymore to trolls, and I ask all my followers, from now on, please do the same, for my sake. 🙏
I'll be ignoring and blocking any negativity. Some have suggested that I mute instead, but that only means I can't see the replies, but all my followers would still be able to.
It's upsetting that I've lost followers because of all this, but those that know me and have followed me for a while know the truth. Most of the people who have blocked me never followed me, don't know me, and just believed everything they've read from elsewhere.... and I get it..
If I were new to this drama, and I clicked on the profiles of the 2 main protagonists and saw a male bird photographer on one, and a female who runs a hedgehog rescue charity on the other, I'd probably side automatically with the hedgehog charity too!
The really sad thing though, people shouldn't have to be choosing sides, this is the thing that has upset people that have followed both our accounts for years...
I just want to get back to sharing my birds and other wildlife, and I'm sure the other account wants to get back to helping hedgehogs.
A couple of days ago, I sent the same videos of my visiting hedgehogs to a lady who runs a hedgehog rescue near me in Somerset. Enclosed is her full reply.
I love hedgehogs, the same as I do any other wildlife (except horseflies!) and will always do my best and always take advice from people more knowledgeable than I am... but there are ways and means of addressing people, especially when original assumptions are wrong.
I'll be keeping an eye on the hedgehogs, supplying food and water as usual, and I have my local hedgehog expert close by if there are any further concerns, so please don't worry about them. 🦔
I hate all the stress and drama, my account is supposed to be an escape from all that, and I apologise to all my followers if any of this whole sorry saga upset you.🙏 I had to defend myself....but now that's done.
Thank you so much to everyone who has stuck up for me these last few days, I really appreciate it. ❤️
From now on though, I'm asking you all to please stop... let the other account get back to helping hedgehogs, because hedgehogs need all the help they can get! 🙏
Hopefully, they will also ask the same of their followers, and we can all just move on peacefully! ❤️
Thank you for reading.. this will hopefully be my last post on the matter.

English

@classicrider They still manage look 'futuristic'.
Yeah it's one of the original 166 UK supplied full fat homologation versions with oval slide carbs, high lift cam etc.
English

@ReaRepairs They’re still beautiful machines. That’s the 1000 with proper carbs, right?
English

@_HelenDale Agreed, and I'm not discounting it.
At the moment though I'm leaning more towards it being some moronic, hare brained idea of 'doing the right thing' rather than a deliberate attempt to conceal.
It's sad that our opinions of authorities come down to either incompetence or malice.
English

@ReaRepairs Idiocy is undoubtedly involved, but not only idiocy. There’s always the possibility they’re trying to do something nefarious—very incompetently.
English

I’m sorry, but I’m struggling to believe the police here.
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK
🚨 NEW: Police have made the "active decision" not to release CCTV of the Ann Widdecombe murder suspect "Releasing such prematurely could compromise ongoing enquiries and may prejudice future investigative opportunities"
English

@classiccarguru1 @fosgoodwood I'm surprised they still camouflage new models and prototypes. Just take the badges off and they all look like each other anyway. 🫤
English

@Gamer187Play @RyanJS46 That argument has things backwards IMHO.
It's not that his sentence was too harsh (for making a deliberate choice to risk the life and limb of others) it's that others are too soft.
English

@RyanJS46 He also crashed! That in of itself should be quite a bit of the lesson learned factor. His bikes in bits. And his ego. But it’s hard to agree with the sentence when folk seem to get far less for what I’d consider really awful stuff.
English

Absolutely agree he’s riding like a bellend, 10 year ban fine, 15 month prison sentence??? That’s the bit I can’t get on with. You’ve got bike thieves calling themselves “repo men” that get suspended sentences and have a direct cost to the general public
TVP Roads Policing@tvprp
Lewis Baker, 35, rode through Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire at speeds of up to 160mph while filming his dangerous riding to share with others. He has now been sentenced to 15 months in prison and banned from driving for 10 years. No stunt is worth a life. Ride responsibly.
English

@classicrider That's the main reason why the Katana 1000 isn't a long term keeper. It's easy to overlook that motorbikes are for riding, and to do plenty of miles it needs to be fun, reliable, capable and in this country you have to be OK with being out in a range of conditions.
English

@ReaRepairs Tbh, I think I’m just as happy with the photos I’ve kept of it. The scruffy Honda is as much fun to ride and gets it in all weathers, so…
English

@Gamer187Play @Mattisamazing33 I suspect the aggravating factor was being a weapons grade twat?
English

@Mattisamazing33 It’s bugging me what he’s listening to on his phone. Can’t quite make it out. Maybe his music choice was the aggravating factor that led to the wild long sentence. 😂
English

@Gamer187Play Don't worry, you'll have manky slush dripping onto you and no feeling in your fingers soon enough. 😄
English

@verlagmeyer If it uses a gasket then clean/degrease and a thin smear of Hylomar blue on both sides of the gasket.
If it's metal to metal then thorough cleaning/degreasing and a thin smear of ThreeBond 1168. (In the past a thin smear of Hylomar and a silk thread was used.)
English

@ReaRepairs What is the procedure Rea follows for closing covers like this ?
Are there any make/model cover which require 'special handling' ?
English

A little something for the longer cruisers and chops arrived today from the nice people at @ProBikeUK 👍
