By far the funniest thing is seeing AEW fans go “Who is this Nick LoPiccolo guy?” as if he’s not a longtime Hollywood agent that works with some of the biggest names in wrestling. It’s not like two of his clients closed WrestleMania night 2 this year against each other.

My worry is that Paramount has a shit ton of debt after this sale, and now they will have to pay a ton more for NFL rights, which means lower priority programming is going to get the axe. It does appear that Nielsen changes their ratings system again, and if it stays, then that's really bad for AEW when it's time for a new deal.

The guy in your video is under a different gimmick from 15 years ago. The guy that got released is this one… looks like a complete average joe. He didn’t have a good run in WWE, that’s ok! Didn’t get himself over. Didn’t impress in the ring or with the MFTs. Don’t blame creative either… Jacob Fatu got over with the same debut. Same with Tama Tonga. TNA and Spike denied it until the last minute. UFC denied they were being sold until they were sold. Denial of a story from the parties doesn't mean you don't cover it. Rather you cover it but mention that both parties denied it.

They gave Tony a heads up. This is also murky legal waters so denial is completely expected. The facts dont change though.

@mibrardragon @TheRajGiri You got to remember, you are taking two steps back. With the raise of cost each year in every aspect, AEW is digging themselves in a hole. Also whoever does give them a deal, wants something in return for their investment.

I'm fairly positive that TK's goal with AEW is more than breaking even. He's even said that his motivation for starting AEW was the media rights deal that SmackDown got at the time
