@HardwareUnboxed @HeyItsTerryTV Come on, since when was a $400 mid range card not targeting 1440p ultra? That's been the way for years now. 1080p is entry level.

Game developers have publicly stated that 8GB’s of VRAM is holding back game development, even at 1080p. They’ve also said 8GB cards will be limited to medium or even low presets at 1080p for future games using new engines. I'm not attacking you but this is a very poor take for the simple reason that they can easily double the VRAM which will help progress gaming and make it better for all gamers. This 8GB mid-range stagnation is bad and should never be defended by consumers.

8gb of vram is plenty for 1080p60/120/144. Not everyone plays games at 1440p or 4k. It’s a mid range card for a reason 🤦‍♂️
