@Kissamies_ @SandwitchZebra @derpo377 You underestimate George's involvement, i know. Main reason why George wasn't active showrunner is cuz he was working on Star Wars Underworld and Episode VII-IX. He was shaping a connected ubiverse wich did in several areas decanonise the EU, wich he wasn't involved in making.

@RealCyberkitten @SandwitchZebra @derpo377 You vastly overestimate George's involvement, I think. I strongly disagree about EU never ever being canon, but even if you take that stance, it could could chugging on for a few more years, perhaps longer if Dave didn't mess with it.

@Kissamies_ @SandwitchZebra @derpo377 There is no "His" The Clone Wars. The Clone Wars was George Lucas. The final season was the most Dave Filoni it got. And he still used a tweaked version of George's idea. But everything EU brought in was at George's say so. The EU was never canon.

Wouldn't have changed the situation of Dave messing EU's final years with his TCW. As for him bringing his substandard intepretations to Disneyverse, no SW is better than bad SW.

@therealcliffyb I know many would say worse. Because everything is worse now than 10 years ago. But i'd argue all the arguments for why apply to games 10 years ago as well. The industry shifts, but when one corner hoes bad, new studios rise up. So my ansewere is, it's just different.

@Kissamies_ @SandwitchZebra @derpo377 George's sequels would effectivly have destroyed Thrawn as the Empire would simply be gone by thst time. So he wouldn't exist. It's not what i choose to consider. It's what George chose. The EU was never part of his canon. Had he made Ep VII-IX, he'd have killed it entierly.

@RealCyberkitten @SandwitchZebra @derpo377 They existed just fine without him. Even if you choose to consider in non-canon, the EU would have been better off without Dave turning their solid canon into sand. Really lost steam during those 4 final years.

@Kissamies_ @SandwitchZebra @derpo377 The Clone Wars already introduced EU elements. Dave was the main advocat for it. But ultimatly, George was the end all be all. You may not like how he did it. But the alternative is them not existing at all.

@SandwitchZebra @RealCyberkitten @derpo377 The high concept may have been George's, but it was Dave in charge of execution. He chose to take EU characters, concepts and planets and do them wrong, wrecking the continuity. Lucas would have invented his own things.

@SandwitchZebra @derpo377 Disney has missmanaged Star Wars. That's a fact. But ignoring the EU was not one of their blunders. George only signed off on it cuz it was a fun concept. But it at times ignored his canon. And his sequel trilogy would have fully ignored the EU as well. Probably even more so.

@RealCyberkitten @derpo377 No one ever likes to mention that fact when it comes to bashing this show, I wonder why that is I assume it’s so we can pretend like Lucas didn’t steamroll over a chunk of the EU, and we can instead blame the nebulous character of “Disney”, like we blame them for everything else

@TacoTaGo1 @Tipsall001 I do not skip Episodes. If i have to skip episodes to maybe enjoy it, then the show has alrready failed in my eyes.

@RealCyberkitten @Tipsall001 I dont wanna say skip episodes but jjba varies a lot in genres. For example, Golden Wind/Vento might be your taste but Diamond is Unbreakable might make you wanna quit the anime (not my opinion I like all the parts and watch anything in general when it comes to media)
