Literally apples to cottage cheese comparison. The PPC were toxic because of a poor public image with some of their candidates, a (very) hostile media environment, and Bernier's leadership style.
The CPC is mainstream and could easily present those policies in a rational, digestible, manner if they so choose.

@RealFalcon_7 We also have real polls at the ballot box. The PPC has run with immigration as its cause celebre party issue in three federal elections and has zero seats along with significantly less than 1% of the vote (and downward trending no less).

I think it would be a really great reality tv show to take a couple dozen boomers, ideally recently retired, and give them entry level white-collar jobs in high cost of living cities and basically just saying "Go try to live."

@AmazingZoltan What was number one? Cost of living? Housing? These issues aren't mutually exclusive. The one at the bottom of the list could be causing the issues at the top, and Iikely are.
Also, who did they ask? How were the questions framed, etc etc.

@RealFalcon_7 When asked what the most important issue was to Canadians during the last election, immigration came in dead last at 2%. I will grant that this is an important issue but it's also a niche issue that punches way above its weight on X as compared to the real world.
