Ya know, I feel like its important to get back to a place that lets you be creative. For me, the city can be claustrophobic, and there's barely any room to breathe. Out here, I feel more free. With some luck, this vacation will let me get back to posting regularly 🤞

@AlysssaHazel Try some keifer, kombucha, or some other stuff with probiotics. If it's stomach flu, you kinda just gotta hang in there, but I'd also suggest getting some sun. Vitamin D and fresh air will do a lot to improve your mood and make you feel better. 🍻

Gonna try and get some writing done, but I feel pretty wretched. My head hurts because I'm not eating enough. I'm not eating enough because my food is not digesting. My food is not digesting, so I throw up. On day three of this, and I'm getting dizzy when I stand. Let's see what we can get done tho.

@LostLoreScholar Ehh. I've played a lot of peoples half-baked and attempted 'proof of concept' games. There are hundreds of heart break games that are poorly designed and don't stand the test of time because it takes substantial effort to make something worthwhile. We still need *good* TT makers.

The biggest secret that table top designers don't want you to know is that you don't need them. You can create whatever you want and not ever need to consult with, nor buy from, them again.

@Lumahlin @Valheimgame It would be cool to be able to control the nearest mob for a few minutes. Definitely a more drastic change, but idk what to do with yagluth. The queen increase the mining from the queens ability by another 10%. I haven't beat fader yet, so I won't weigh in there. 😅

@Lumahlin @Valheimgame Elder- increase pierce, slash and blunt by 10% on top of the wood chopping. Moder- longer duration and/or, increased fog of war visibility. It would be nicer to not have to get so close to land to map it's coast. Yagluth- something to do with him being a king maybe?

@Lumahlin @AnabriellaTV @Valheimgame I have no idea how hard it would be to impliment, but maybe make it so that the boss trophies can be imbued into certain weapons like the gemstones? Having your axe hold the elder power, cape hold eikthyr, etc.

@LostLoreScholar @FoxyVixsune I've been on 5-6 dates this last month alone, and it's REALLY bad for your mental health. You aren't anywhere close to describing how bad it is in this post.

Valentines Day coming up has me thinking. I've known my wife @FoxyVixsune for nearly twenty years. We've been together for nearly ten, and married for three. I look around at the modern dating scene that many of my peers, and people younger than me, are dealing with and it makes my heart bleed. They put themselves on apps like products in an online store. They advertise themselves like things to be purchased, though only after a trial period. They are put back on the shelf repeatedly, each time with a new scar. I feel a deep sadness when I think of this. We ought not treat one another as things from which to derive pleasure. Instead we ought find a person to love with an unconditional love. All trials and tribulations should not overcome the dedication we must show to our partners. Love is not measured in butterflies fluttering in one's stomach but instead by the distance one will go for their beloved. Bah. Enough of this. I'm going to get home and stat out a dragon or something.

Back to back, two PCs go down after fighting Sirens. The most hopeless I've seen a player was after delivering this line- "You get pulled under the water, out of sight of your companions as the cold water fills your lungs. They like watching their victims drown."

Turns out that running a high seas horror campaign has really helped get me out of my DM funk. The ocean is terrifying as hell, and taking ques from The Odyssey has been quite gratifying. I guess my little DM tip for yall is to switch the genera of the game when things get stale.

You know, I talk about dragons on the internet. This has led me to odd places. @elvenmaidinn has, inadvertently, made me something of a friendly acquaintance, perhaps friend, in @WhickTv. My latest appearance on his show has meant I've now spoken with @ShortFatOtaku, a YouTuber I've watched casually for quite some time, and even more strangely @davidscottjaffe, whose games I bonded with friends over in my childhood. And, since that show, I have spoken with YouTubers who are far, far larger than I, and in a very different space. Some left wing extremists, others right. Politics, as my followers well know, is something I despise. I view politics as a poison that needs to be purged from the majority of daily life. I desire to read, write, and talk about dragons, elves, and magic. I want to experience worlds different than my own. I want to Escape. And I wonder now if, after years of terminal political obsession on the internet, the mood of the world is changing slightly. I wonder if these content creators, so stuck in the mud of their various trenches, just want to stand atop a hill and look out over a far green country to spy a dragon's scales glint in dawn light. Part of me wonders further if perhaps my Wednesday show might serve to de-radicalise some of these hyper-political individuals through simple, human fun. Perhaps I am being too idealistic. Regardless, I shall continue to harp on about the wonders of genre fantasy. I will continue to offer Escapism.
