James Talarico is a good man. Ken Paxton is a repugnant crook. This is not a hard choice.

The Paxton win: 1. shows the GOP is a Trump Party, not a conservative party 2. Means that Cornyn will feel free to block Trump until January 3. Boosts Democratic chances of winning the Senate

Ken Paxton, a crook who got impeached by his own party, is the Republican Senate nominee in Texas. Trump’s America everyone!

TXSEN is so funny to me, because by any normal person's definition John Cornyn is a reliable conservative Senator but Texas Republicans still want to throw him out for a guy mostly known for corruption and adultery.

Republicans are literally in a cult. They're really throwing out a 24-year incumbent senator for a scandal-plagued serial cheater, because their leader told them to.

44% of US homeowners are older than 60 She is effectively asking you to put 100% of the local county services tax burden on 56% of the people—people who are also still in the workforce paying income taxes, mortgages, and daycare tuition This is horrible policy

this isn't much of a prediction but i think you'll see the "AI trade" blow up by end of Q4 of this year majority of fortune 500 CEOs probably only have two quarters max to generate clear ROI from LLM usage they will fail token budgets will be cut its over

@ky_statesman Massie supporter here. Massie himself doesn’t believe this. Massie lost fair and square even though it’s not outcome I wanted

The only thing it exposed was blatant election fraud.
Florida Mike@TheFloridaMike

Trump-endorsed @EdGallrein won 19 out of 21 counties over an incumbent Congressman. It exposed Massie and his followers as losers without any real-life political power. Who else thinks Rand Paul will be joining Massie on the unemployment line in 2028?

@dmesg @jimboiwe @fredsoda Exactly — suggests AI value is being overstated and will be reined versus used everywhere. Value > hype which suggests exponential revenue growth from AI companies has headwinds as a continued assumption

From what I've seen corporations are the most ineffective and incompetent users of AI around. They seemingly get zero good results while also screwing up their existing business. The ones using it well are individuals gaining new capabilities, and small teams doing massive amounts of behind the scenes work.

@PrezLives2022 The sore loser law keeps him off the ballot, but he could legally file as a write-in candidate.

Did you know that Massie could still technically run as an independent to take McConnells seat in Kentucky. His entry would be challenged most likely, but the rules say he can enter this race. I think he should. He is not barred from the sore loser law in this race.

@MOLENAIDE I think there’s a lot of pressure to invest regardless but the bill will come due ar some point — and the returns currently aren’t there it seems so at some point rationality says lower company investment

“If AI isn’t profitable, why are companies still investing in it” because the end go at this point is likely not profit and that should make everybody worried

@fredsoda "majority of fortune 500 CEOs probably only have two quarters max to generate clear ROI from LLM usage" You will be saying this forever, theres no segmented LLM driven revenue on companies' financial statements.. Its already been happening
