This morning I approved and reauthorized guidelines for a 2025 Safe Corridors Grant Program. The 2025 Program will fund over $300K in free cameras for residents and businesses in high crime areas of West and Southwest Philadelphia 1/3

I am closely following the shooting on 60th and Delancey. My prayers are with the families of the two victims that have been pronounced dead and the three others that have been shot. There is still much work to do when it comes to #publicsafety in #WestPhilly

My thanks and prayers for the @PhillyFireDept firefighters who responded to this terrible fire last night in #WestPhilly #Wynnefield. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured

Last night in Wynnefield, 9 PFD firefighters were injured when the floor inside a house partially collapsed. 6 were treated & released - 3 remain hospitalized - all in stable condition. We're immeasurably grateful for this outcome, as collapses often prove devastating. (1/4)

So good to see @PhillyMayor and @PHLCouncil today creating a fund to help families of crime victims afford funeral expenses. We launched our Marquan H. Foxx Funeral Fund in June 2025 and have helped many West/Southwest Philadelphia families with a $1,000 grant for funeral expenses 1/2

Very alarming - aside from the effects of uninsured people putting off critical doctor visits, it can overrun our fragile health system with uninsured visits to emergency rooms and unpaid bills that will put hospitals at risk of closing inquirer.com/health/pennie-…

I understand legal pressures but unless you actually lose a lawsuit that says you have to drop the goals (which the city hadn’t) why would you preemptively do so. Since when has this City been afraid of a lawsuit - they do borderline illegal and reckless things every day 2/3

This is a terrible bill - how can an elected official really focus on serving their district when they’re actively campaigning in areas they don’t represent. Hopefully the voters reject this

🚨Philadelphia City Council will hold a hearing 11/19 to end “resign to run”🚨 If approved, it would put ending “resign to run” on the ballot in May 2026. It has been rejected twice in the last 20 years… 2007 and 2014. Should this happen? 🤷‍♂️ Only with term limits included? 🤷‍♂️
