I'm like bro, sis, that's on top of what you make via base! You make $160 a day base! And you complain if you don't make over $100 in tips? That's entitlement!

So let's say a plate cost 15 dollar. Add 20% to replace the tipping. That's 3 dollar per plate. Average over a day a table is 3 people per table which 3 plates * 3 dollar = 9 dollar a table. A waiter get paid 25 dollar per hour. Which is less than 3 tables per hour. Explain why this is a problem?

Can we stop saying " if you can’t afford to tip you can’t afford to dine out!" We need to be saying, "If a restaurant can’t pay its employees a livable wage without depending on the generosity of customers then they can’t afford to own a business!”

Most don't offer ft nor benefits unless you're in management. Everyone else gets the stick. If you're happy paying 20% more everywhere you go, good for you

@Plane_Trotter @LarryJones The meaning behind the post is they're expecting tips no matter what service they deliver. Good, bad or indifferent. Tips are generous and they get pissy if they don't receive at least 30% nowadays. I average 10% tips to decent service and 20% or so for excellent service.
