Two things that will absolutely happen if there is a 24-team CFP.
* Players will demand to be paid more to play an extra round of games.
* Agents of some top picks will recommend they opt out rather than take on the extra injury risk. Even NFL players don’t play 5 rounds.

ESPN does NOT want big expansion of the College Football Playoff according to ACC commissioner Jim Phillips, per Brett McMurphy. Phillips states that ESPN would like the playoff to remain at 12 or 14 teams, but absolutely no more than 16. A 24 team playoff has been discussed by both fans and administrators for years, with much disagreement. What do you think is the right number of teams for the playoff?
