@WCMichael619 @SbondyNBA @dailythunder Having the league's second best rim protector behind them is what allows the guards to be as physical as they are on the perimeter, and then if they get beat, not foul on recovery. (The type of recovery fouls that are where SGA generates most of his FTA btw).

@SbondyNBA That did happen and it was also probably the weakest DPOY race ever. Teams averaged 102 per 100 w Chet on floor this past season. They have good defenders for sure but he’s an anchor. Don’t let the WCF struggles change that

The locker room is a sacred place because it brings together everyone from all walks of life and beliefs for one common goal. Calling a teammate out publicly for his political views and to get attention is nasty work.

@ConcacafEdgar It's not that serious, and framing it as Gio vs Luna is silly. You know how I feel about Gio. And if we're down a goal against Turkiye with 15 left, I want Gio on the pitch because his ability to create a moment of magic is greater than anyone else in the pool. Plain and simple.

There's never been a day on this planet that Diego Luna has been better at soccer than Gio Reyna. For all of Reyna's flaws, he's still the most talented midfielder in the USMNT pool and his potential to create a moment of brilliance justifies his inclusion on the roster.

@TheBolivianYank My thoughts on Gio are well documented, but on a tournament roster, you take the guy with the greatest potential to create a moment of brilliance out of nothing. In the entire pool, that's Gio. He may be nothing more than a super sub, but you put his name in sharpie on the roster

@losfarringtons @salvaje50 @PaulTenorio @tombogert England also didn't have someone as mediocre at set pieces as Pulisic. Tournament play disproportionately favors stealing goals on set pieces, and a guy like Berhalter has higher value in a knockout tournament than a 30+ game season because of it
