Based off of these posts, it seems like a lot of these high level guards in the draft want to play for the Dallas Mavericks. Ujiri and Schmitz should seriously consider finding a way to trade up in the draft.

The thing about the World Cup hotel bookings struggling is when you come out of the gates so expensive…people don’t go.
The tickets will normalize close to the event and sell for what the should but it’ll be mostly local. Few will book hotels on short notice.

@ShehanJeyarajah And I completely agree overall about the AAC. It's great. Dallas has a perfectly placed downtown stadium that took 20 years to get to that spot, now we move? Insanity.

@ShehanJeyarajah Yeah I mean definitely not trying to go to bat for the ownership lol and not directed at you at all but I see many on here complain about ticket prices and idk they seem very normal to me. Concessions however? Absolute mess. AAC really really far behind.

The American Airlines Center is fine and in a great location and I’m tired of pretending otherwise. The only things that need to be fixed at Mavs games are ticket prices.

Dallas is a singular city who’s name gets misapplied to a massive region made up of 32 counties & over 200+ incorporated places - all vary in culture, people, and stuff. The trick is finding the spot that fits your needs. Yeah, it’s hot in summer. Chicago is cold in winter. 🤷🏼♂️

Let me explain Dallas(s) 1. The summers are unbearable and this cannot be understood without moving there. You can't just visit Texas for 3 weeks in peak summer and understand it, because that's not why it's bad. It's bad because it's late October and it's 90+ and you're questioning your sanity as to whether not it will ever end. 2. Dallas' culture, superficially seems good, but once you dig down... 3. Dallas living is about the airport. You save money in Dallas and then fly out all the time because being in Dallas is rough. Airline travel in the US has declined a lot, so this way of life works less well. 4. The driving. It's dangerous. You need a tank and you're going to be sitting in it all the time. Dallas sort of seems like a city but it's not really. It's more like an area. 5. You can trade 3% state income tax for better weather, more trees, and fewer problems. I think Dallas is a solid place to live in a bigger house with A/C and grind for money aggressively for a short period of time and then move out of. Other than that, unless you are tied down there (job, family), I can't recommend it.
