As part of a campaign against content theft on social media, it has come to my attention that a popular streamer, named Charlie or @MoistCr1TiKaL, was included in the latest wave of stolen content from our hurricane streams last year. I don’t know Charlie or even that this happened. It sounds like he rebroadcast 30 seconds of our live stream for the purpose of letting people know what was happening. I am fine with this instance of rebroadcast by Charlie Penguin, and will remove myself from any content lawsuit against Charlie. Next time just ask for permission and I can clear it. We do have to push back against content theft in general in this social media space, most of which happens from traditional media, since it makes it impossible to cover our science budget and expenses with the unoriginal content flags that result from stolen content that is rebroadcast. I would just have to stay in my basement and stream radar breakdown if we let all media steal and rebroadcast our content for profit. I am a life-long breakeven person financially or maybe a little loss, so this is not from a position of greed. Every cent I make goes back into storm chasing, science, Dominators and disaster relief. Thank you for bringing this to my attention

I am devastated to share that the love of my life, Gizmo, has passed away at the age of 17. We shared so many memories and storm chasing adventures together especially over the last 15 years. Gizmo chased over 200 tornadoes, category 5 hurricanes, and loved me unconditionally through some very hard times across hundreds of miles. We chased through the pandemic on fast-food living out of the Subaru. She beat cancer, ticks, flash floods, and was inside of a tornado with a broken leg / peg leg cast. She visited 48 states, dozens of National Parks, three Canadian provinces and was loved by many storm chasers. This will be a very difficult time

Unfortunately we hit a deer with the Dominator 3 on the way back to Oklahoma last night. The front of the Dominator is pushed in a bit and some cracked Lexan. The Dominator 3 has been run into the ground this season from late February to July. We need to do some serious offseason repairs and upgrades. Thank you everyone for following us this storm season. It’s not over, but the peak season is likely behind us
