India still doesn’t have 24-hour electricity something that’s such a basic necessity and a normal thing for most of the developed world. Indians just accept their fate and not having basic necessities is so normalised. Necessities which their incompetent government hasn’t been able to develop in 75 years of independence. Countries have had 24-hour electricity since 1880s.

@abhinahiyaaar Its a policy problem not an economic one. If a state government can spend more than budget of ISRO for laldli behen yojna im pretty sure they can cover the cost of nuclear power.

@RealShivPratap cost. you can build ten coal plants for the cost of one nuclear one, which eventually reduces the cost for the end consumers, especially industry. we have very high electricity rates for industry - multiples of the chinese - which makes it harder for factories to break even.
