We also got a TON of new info on the new content in the remake that wasn't in the original Here are the highlights of the new info: - A new look at the Captain Drake outfit, originally DLC for AC4 - Every single mission in the game has been re-built from scratch, this is to support new stealth, parkour and combat designs. - For example, the first mission's entire layout has been adjusted including even the collectibles you find while chasing Duncan Walpole - Some tailing missions for example, have been re-made into a different mission, such as a stealth infiltration - The Assassination missions have all been expanded to offer new paths, new secrets and new items, such as in a mid-game mission where you can find a target’s room (with a hidden reward) by eavesdropping on some soldiers - Tailing missions are no longer auto fail and progress into either combat or a chase, usually ending with finding a note or a key that ultimately that continues the story - Optional assassination contracts have been remixed and now have additional dialogue and deeper motivations rather than the basic "Go there and press X" design of the original - Optional content such as the contracts now offer new rewards and items that were never in the original game - You can skip time by holding down on the d-pad now - There are new treasure hunts and the existing ones have all had their rewards increased or changed to new items such as new outfits and ship vanities - There are a ton of new "local events", such as new NPC conversations that lead to a secret item, or just NPCs living out their lives - There are new difficulty settings and combat/stealth/naval/activities can be adjusted separately, the original game had no difficulty options - Double assassinations have been adjusted so that the camera cut is not as sudden as it was in previous footage and Shadows - Templar hunts return and their narratives have been expanded - Stede Bonnet has a new mission, and it will give his character a proper conclusion - Great Inagua has been greatly expanded, there are now more things to interact with, more things to see and its overall closer to the best hideouts in the franchise such as Monteriggioni - Great Inagua will offer new rewards and loot for investing in it - New final sequence has been added to the main story called "A world without gold", this is going to explore a new story thread involving Blackbeard, it is very likely Blackbeard will appear as a ghost in this sequence as seen in a previous trailer - Four new rifts, involving Edward, Blackbeard, and James Kidd in alternative timelines This is all way more than I expected I won't lie, it sounds like AC4 as a whole has been completely remade from scratch in much deeper ways than first expected, July 9th absolutely cannot come soon enough.
