The jury is out on Crimson Desert. Turns out I was right. I know, I know... you guys hate when that happens. The consensus so far: • Exploration is the main draw • The game tries to do way too much • Feels like a single-player MMO • Story is trash • Mechanics are convoluted • Takes 8+ hours to even hook you So yeah, this is a very specific niche game. The kind some people will absolutely love… and most will play, think “yeah, that was alright,” and never touch again. And that’s fine. Not every game needs to be perfect to be enjoyable. And not everyone has to like the same things you do.

@SoulKingLives For real 😆 Elden Ring had zero hand holding, completing some quest were very difficult without an online guide, bosses were hard.. And yet quite possibly my favorite game ever.

@Ramez05 IGN is the LAST company that you need to go to when wanting a review score. Pretty sure they gave Concord a 8-9 and that game was dead on arrival. Just play the game and refund it if you don’t like what you see.

IGN has some nerve to give a review score to Crimson Desert when they haven’t even finished it. 🤦‍♂️ Meanwhile Marathon has been out for 2 weeks and they still refuse to give it a score! 💀

@JMaine518 Already got it pre loaded. Never cared about the story in games. I play to explore, find loot, good visuals, less dialogue is better.

After 50+ reviews, Crimson Desert is currently sitting at a 79 on Metacritic. Good score, but definitely way off my 92 prediction. I’m still diving in tomorrow nonetheless 🙌🏿

@vadnarr @Solid_evolution @kidsmoove I literally only use the Xbox App to join a party with my Xbox buddies every once in a while. And even that can be a nightmare. You would think being basically a trillion dollar company, they could get it figured out.

The PC app is awful, downloads are throttled or just don’t work properly, and errors like this happen regularly. I have yet to have *one* issue on steam and I’ve been on that platform for 2 decades.
