Fact: In 2022, provisional data indicated that more than two thirds of the reported 107,081 drug overdose deaths in the United States involved illicitly manufactured fentanyls. On Friday I went to Riverbend and saw @JellyRoll615 perform with @ElleKingMusic and @JoshAdamMeyers He had a very powerful message and belief that I also hold close to my heart. Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.

Jeff Bezos said the bottom half of Americans should pay zero federal income tax. He cited a nurse in Queens making ~$75K and paying ~$12K in taxes saying “we shouldn’t be asking this nurse in Queens to send money to Washington.”

CEASEFIRE UPDATE: IRAN-U.S DRAFT PROPOSAL ✅ Iran agrees to a 15-year enrichment suspension, with the exception of research reactors for medical isotopes. ✅ Iran’s stockpile of 60% and 20% uranium would be partially converted to reactor fuel, and partially ‘downblended’ to a lower enrichment level. However, it won’t leave Iran. ✅ Full IAEA supervison on Iran’s nuclear sites. ✅ Opening the Strait of Hormuz, with the possibility of collecting tolls. ✅ The U.S. will offer Iran phased sanctions relief ✅ The U.S. will unfreeze all Iranian assets currently frozen abroad, amounting to $20 Billion or more. ✅ The U.S. will commit to a non-aggression pact with Iran that is ensured through a UN National Security Council resolution and a treaty ratified by Congress. ✅ The U.S. will withdraw all its military forces from the Persian Gulf. Trump is reportedly negotiating a deal which would stop Iran from producing a nuclear weapon in exchange for $20 Billion in Iranian assets being unfrozen. Note that The Iranian Nuclear agreement (JCPOA) that Obama signed, that Trump tore up, did the same thing. It halted their Uranium enrichment while turning over frozen assets. In other words Trump Tore up the agreement, spent $55 Billion on a war, got hundreds of Americans injured, killed 150+ kids and exploded oil prices to try and negotiate the same basic deal that Obama did.
