.@DanTehanWannon Re your @abc730 interview:
1. You were fortunate to hold off @VoicesofWannon at the last election, largely due to an outrageous scare campaign.
2. Since then the #LNP has been a chaotic embarrassment.
3. You will be very lucky to retain #Wannon.

Cities aren’t safe from the next firestorm
(As this article notes fossil fuel companies are making billions while forcing the community to pay the true costs of their climate wrecking activities🔥 #auspol #springst @AlboMP @JacintaAllanMP)

It would be nice to think that @Alcoa will finally do the right thing and complete the job by removing the ugly and much hated smoke stack from its redundant #Anglesea coal plant. @DanTehanWannon @r_riordanmp @SenSHenderson abc.net.au/news/2026-01-1…

The Victorian government deserves a pat on the back for delivering the apology and treaty @JacintaAllanMP and @NatHutchins.
However the government has dropped the ball badly on the critical issue of caring for country.
Here in Wadawurrung country volunteers work with 1/4

PM’s office directs lobbyists to use encrypted, disappearing messages
(So when odious industries like gambling, fossil fuels etc. provide ‘suggestions’ (aka directions) to a government they ‘donate’ to the public won’t know?! 💰🙈🙉 #auspol #transparency) thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/politics/…

@ReclaimAnglesea @abc730 Why do they give him so much rope when others like tehan get totally eviscerated

Correlation is not causation. I suspect he knows that but hopes you don’t.

Pressed to outline how the LNP will reduce emissions with their new energy plan, Sussan Ley says they’ll rely on “breakthrough technologies” in about “25 years time”😳 - ones not invented yet & “we’re not talking about today”🤔
There you have it. As bonkers as it gets. #auspol

@mattjcan If the COALition was actually interested in lowering power prices for Australians it would get behind the inevitable transition to the cheapest form of new generation, rather than tweeting this sort of nonsense … 🙄
English

@MCvjeticaninBar I was thinking of credible evidence based plans rather than Machiavellian plans, but I hear you …
English

@ReclaimAnglesea I disagree. They have a definite plan which they have successfully implemented for two decades. Inaction is a complete win for them.

Abandoning our kids.
And theirs.
For fossil fuel donors.
It’s that simple.
Selling out the future.
Australia’s young generation will be asking, what use is democracy when science can be sold out for power, their future mortgaged to fill the pockets of the greedy, people that are already billionaires and so in love with wealth, they will leave it to our kids to clean up their mess.
Our kids will pay the price through exorbitant or no insurance, trillions in aftermath of natural disasters, endless immigration wars as mass movements of people need a safe place.
It’s not about Australia solving or even leading, as we so often hear, but about doing our part, to be in a stronger position to push the rest of the world.
In the end, the problem is that sun and wind are free and, when harnessed properly, not only leave the environment cleaner, but costs down.
Low costs = low profit.
For all the dressing up and endless pantomimes, this is just profit over people.
Disgraceful.
