The church is not the "new Israel." Christians are not the "new Jews." There are Gentile believers in Jesus, and there are Jewish believers in Jesus. This is the church. Israel remains a literal nation of ethnic people who God made an unconditional covenant with, and no man's twisting of scripture will change that. This is the truth.

I hold to the view that there will be a "remnant" during a 7 year tribulation, which is Jacob's trouble, which we haven't reach yet. We're in the church age, and right now, both Jews and Gentiles are being saved. Just as there will be a remnant of Jews, there will also be remnants from other nations who will be saved.

@zacharyhunt90 @mr_jorts Brother I don’t know you from Adam but do you truly understand what you are saying? Respectfully the covenant was a two way thing. They do this and God does that. I can give you specific breakdowns and bible verses if you would like. Also 70 Ad occurred.

The covenant God made with Abraham in Genesis 15:1-18 was unconditional, which He promised that He would be their God and would give them the land of Israel. Also see Genesis 17:8, and in Genesis 23:13-14, you can see this promise holds to Abraham's descendants, Isaac and Jacob and so on. God is faithful and keeps His promise, even when Israel is unfaithful, which they are shown to be time after time throughout the OT. He's faithful to Israel today, and His promise is upheld to Jews today who don't believe in Jesus as Messiah. As we learn in Romans 11, we can see that Israel/ethnic Jews are the natural branch and can/will be grafted back in, but there's been placed a partial hardening over their hearts. We learn that a remnant of Israel will be saved, acknowledging Jesus as Messiah. Even right now though, non-believing Jews are hearing the gospel and coming to faith in Jesus!
