BREAKING: Did you know that products made from Canadian blood donations may be sold for profit by Grifols, a Spanish drugmaker? Today at the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health, I moved a motion to summon Grifols to testify about this. Canadians donate blood to help save lives, not to create profits for international pharma companies! Canadians deserve answers.

@redcrosscanada I understand that sending out packages like this may encourage some to donate but I’d rather see my entire donation go to help people in need. ‘Gifts’ like this are, imho, a waste and contribute to more waste and pollution. Surely there is a better way?

It's been over a month since Conservatives demanded an investigation into foreign corporations making money off Canadian blood donations. The Liberal Chair of the Health Committee ignored our request. She hasn't even called a committee meeting this week despite the return of Parliament.
