@PrinceJS__ @BiasedHouston Maybe. But there’s no such data. On the contrary, we’re 4–0 without him. And last year, we finished 2nd
English

The worst part about this is the implication that it is Kevin Durant’s fault.
No context, no logic, just pure Kevin Durant hate.
Spurs Culture@SpursCulture
Imagine Spurs traded for Kevin Durant
English

@bgee0815 @NBA__Courtside Yes and no. He’s right in criticizing for not watching the games but Chuck/Shaq are right about the Lakers. They were the 3 seed last year + 1/2 losses from being in the play-in. Media hyped them up just to get smacked around by the Wolves. This win streak happens every year
English

@NBA__Courtside He’s 100% correct. Nostalgia is killing the NBA. The older media is stuck in the 80s and 90s especially on inside the nba. Kenny is the only one who is open to enjoying the current game.
English

Nick Wright says he wishes the Inside the NBA crew actually enjoyed basketball 👀
“It might be the greatest sports show ever. With that said, I wish it felt like they enjoyed basketball more. Before the Lakers Nuggets game, Chuck saying ‘I hope the Lakers lose’ because he was angry talk shows would take the Lakers seriously. If they’re the 3 seed in the west are people allowed to take them a little serious? Then after the game they win and Austin making that unbelievable play and Luka game winner, and Shaq said ‘good teams don’t need that’ like what are we doing? You see more in the NBA of the guys saying their era was better. You don’t see Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long on Fox NFL pre game being like ‘none of these guys could cut it in the 70s or 80s!”

English

@drenchmansports I’d say 50/50. This is the same kind of bring the ball up, PnR, iso stuff that KD did on the Suns-Nets-Warriors(when he’d hijack the offense). Post him up and let him see the double coming with cutters.
English

@AmarVijh999 @Cindtrillella Teams would have to give up too much to get him that makes it not worth the gamble. He’s in post-OKC Russ territory where he just cost too much to trade for. Next year Rockets, healthy, with an offensive coordinator, will be better.
English

@Cindtrillella Does he need another team?
Who hasn’t he joined yet eho he can ruin?
English

KD was cookin in them DM’s man lol
mikaylah williams fc@HitTapiaLives
Rockets don’t have any players that are smart lmao
English

@ThunderWavy @13eechamFR Since his OKC days but teams ramped it up after 22 playoffs. Been the most glaringly obvious weakness to his game and he hasn’t improved in any significant way on it. The horrible team offense doesn’t help his case but he’s already spoke on how he feels about coaches and plays
English

@TheAlphaRock1 @THEBOOKIEKILLAA @WhozMEECH Kobe has the record for most all defensive team selections for a guard so he’s several tiers above Steph as a defender but that’s a whole different discussion. I was just curious about your top 10 criteria. Jokic but no Giannis. Magic and Kareem top 5 but not Shaq and Kobe. Etc..
English

@RedEmperor93 @THEBOOKIEKILLAA @WhozMEECH You’re not wrong. But if you started a team from scratch Steph by himself brings you closer to a title than Kobe. He’s easier to build around than Kobe and does everything on a court as good or better than Kobe besides defense, which at his peak Steph wasn’t that bad at
English

WOW. COACH K saying Jordan is #1 and it many people are in that room and he mentions Kobe 2nd.
Y’all gone have a heart attack when yall realize that some of the greatest basketball minds in the world have Jordan first, then Kobe and even others before they even think about LeBron.
But here’s the thing, that’s no shade. LeBron is up there. But this idea that Kobe is no where near the top when so many NBA LEGENDS say Jordan-Kobe is so close and LeBron isn’t always up there with them Jordan/Kobe in their minds.
And again, THATS OK. Because there’s some coaches who believe LeBron is #1 or believe Kobe is #3 behind LeBron. But the thing is, None of the great minds think Kobe is fringe top 10. That’s a bleacher report thing that’s not real life basketball 🫡
English

@TheAlphaRock1 @THEBOOKIEKILLAA @WhozMEECH The “starting a team with” discussion is flawed because it’s all about who you put around them too. But Kobe did command double teams and led his team to the finals 3 times in a row. Beat the most 50 win teams in NBA history to do it.
English

@TheAlphaRock1 @THEBOOKIEKILLAA @WhozMEECH Only Steph and Bird have that 50/40/90. Nobody else really comes close. Jordan = bad 3pt shooter. Bron/Shaq = bad ft shooter. Giannis has one of the highest fg% but he’s not on your list. Along with 2 mvps, fmvp, dpoy. I think you’re biased man.
English

@THEBOOKIEKILLAA @RedEmperor93 @WhozMEECH Steph’s average career shooting percentage is higher than any season of Kobe’s career. LMAO only unanimous mvp ever. 3 more mvps than Kobe. And a 50/40/90 season that Kobe couldn’t sniff if his life depended on it.
English

@TheAlphaRock1 @WhozMEECH I understand that. He’s also the only one up there in your top 16 with only 1 ring. So do you weigh MVPs more than rings or consider them about the same? Because you have Shaq at 5 with 1 MVP.
English

@RedEmperor93 @WhozMEECH He’s one of 9 players to win mvp 3 times. All those guys are considered top 10 players and in in the tier with them now. He won a title as the lone all star on his team. There really is no argument against him at this point besides just not admitting what you’re seeing.
English

@TheAlphaRock1 @WhozMEECH So what qualifies Jokic to be in the top 10 already?
English

@RedEmperor93 @WhozMEECH Prob Jordan Lebron Kareem Magic Duncan Shaq Hakeem Bird Steph Jokic.
Kobe, Kawhi, KD, Wilt, Russell, Wade and Dirk just outside that.
English

@IamR0galD0rn @WookieeSlayer97 @AdriCaporusso I truly think it’s more like “Peeling bananas from the top started in [wherever]”
You: “That’s not where bananas originated so how could they have peeled them”
English

@WookieeSlayer97 @AdriCaporusso Character: 'Bananas have only ever been exclusively cultivated in France.'
Me: That is absurd on its face and even at a initial point of research or investigation is demonstrably false.
You: Don't be so literal...
English

I’m not bleacher report. He’s fringe top 10. I saw Kobe blow the largest halftime lead in finals history. I saw him gentlemen swept in 04 by an inferior team. Missed the playoffs in the middle of his prime. Never shot over 46% in any season. Cheated the kings in 02. People wanna revise history. I won’t be one of them cause I witnessed his whole career.
English

@oldskoolbballx I don’t think Lin is trying to talk bad on Kobe but it’s also impossible for him to tell the whole story. We don’t know the full context, if stuff had been building up before Kobe ghosted him. Could’ve seen Lin not working as hard as he wanted or tired of answering his ?s 🤷🏿♂️
English

@MRodrigo303 @EdmondDantes251 @Hero_OfThe_Day Not saying you’re wrong…but it’s ironic that’s Barkley’s point. Lakers won 6 yrs ago but they are covered like contenders every year. So, like the old man he is, he goes out of his way to trash them because he’s tired of talking about them like they are gonna win.
English

@EdmondDantes251 @Hero_OfThe_Day nuggets win one championship and all of sudden some think they are legit and contenders. What have they done since winning that one trophy. Bunch of clowns 🤡
English

Charles Barkley just now on NBA Tip-Off:
“OKC, the Spurs, and Nuggets have separated themselves from everyone else (in the West)
Kenny Smith: “How have the Nuggets separated themselves??”
Barkley: “They haven’t been healthy!!”
Luka Doncic has carried the Lakers with Austin and LeBron have both missed 21+ games, and the Lakers have a better record.
The disrespect of Luka Doncic from the media continues…….

English

@dblueweiss @byjoelanderson @ringer @VanLathan @tatefrazier @JomiAdeniran The same “Kobe’s record” that Bam and Spo kept referencing
English

@byjoelanderson @ringer @VanLathan @tatefrazier I was going crazy listening to RingerVerse pod this morning hearing @JomiAdeniran say “Kobe’s record” over and over. WHAT RECORD?!?
English

I was really confused because I didn’t realize Kobe stans like @VanLathan thought 81 points was the NBA single-game scoring record
English

@GeoffRainbolt @SpursCulture 43 seconds left in a game they came back to win vs 12 minutes left in a 25+pt game against a tanking team who pulled all their starter
English

@jemelehill @OsheaJacksonJr Yes. Let’s talk about the last 10 minutes of Kobe’s 81. Why do you bring that up? Were the Lakers blowing out the Raptors?
English

A lot of these records we love have moments like that. Do we want to talk about the last 10 minutes of Kobe’s 81? Or when Brett Favre “contributed” to Strahan’s sack record? I’d rather see a team/player go for it than see what Steve Kerr did to Klay Thompson. Klay had 60 after three quarters and sat the entire fourth. Nah, I want to see it go down.
English

@H_A_N_K_Y @Kofie Then he wasn’t on a heater if he was shooting his normal percentage.
English

@RedEmperor93 @Kofie Brother he’s a career 32% three point shooter this is in line with how he plays
English

@H_A_N_K_Y @Kofie Except he wasn’t on a heater. He just shot a lot. Shooting 7/22 from 3 is not a heater. Shooting under 50% is not a heater. He shot 10/27 after the 1st quarter, that’s not a heater.
English

@Kofie People are going to hate because he shot so many FTs but if a guy is on a generational heater you give him the ball. Also you know damn well that if Twitter existed in 2006 that people would’ve been hating on Kobe too.
English

@bballbreakdown Started stat padding heavy in the 2nd half. Outside of his hot hand in the 1st half from 3, he wasn’t hitting anything crazy so he started chucking. Just trying anything to get to the line because his shots weren’t falling like that
English
