@BillAckman @BarackObama @HillaryClinton They realized that the White Working Class was (1) shrinking b/c of both GOP and Dem policies killing jobs, (2) declining birth rates, and (3) cultural misalignment with the Dem party. Also realized the Black population was not growing. Need to import voters.

It is incredible how far the Democratic Party has moved politically. Just listen to @BarackObama on immigration 20 years ago. @HillaryClinton spoke similarly back then. The question of course is why. The answer I believe is not a change in fundamental views, but rather a tactical one. At some point, the Democratic Party believed it had a higher likelihood of staying in power if our country had open borders. When did this take place? What was the catalyst for this reversal of views?

By the end of the monologue, even the people who still miss Helen Thomas were mostly missing Don Imus. The cutaways were so painful it made the similar shots in “The Producers” look like Beatlemania. It was the first correspondents’ dinner performance since Rich Little that had people openly wishing for Rich Little. I guess after two weeks of nightly military strikes against Iran, the president has only one mode: bombing.

Demand is caving in Davidson County. This is the heart of Nashville. Greater Nashville is dropping too, but I've not seen demand this low in Davidson. (I only have daily snapshots going back to feb 2022) Mortgage rates are a driver, but I believe another driver is the 26% property tax increase rolling into data that home buyers now see.

Want to know why Taylor Sheridan just signed a contract for $1 billion? He makes shows where men act like men, the women are smoking hot, the characters are likable and flawed -- therefore relatable, and he doesn't seek to alienate either half of the country. It really is that simple.

The scotus created the mess in the 1st place. IMO the scotus thought by allowing the flood of cases, it would overwhelm the Trump DoJ and they would reverse course, but Trump doubled down and the TDS afflicted show no sign of stopping the flood. So, now it's the court system that is buckling and the Scotus will have to decide if illegals are worth destroying the judicial system.

Tiger Woods winning the US Open on a knee that days later required reconstructive surgery. Kerri Strug sticking the landing on her busted ankle for the gold. Sure, we have our LeBron Jameses acting like little babies, but the one thing I learned about futbol during the World Cup is that acting like a little injured baby is not only not frowned upon, it is ENCOURAGED as a strategic advantage. Americans want stoic heroes who persevere through pain. Soccer ain’t that, at least not in the day-to-day elements of the game. That’s why soccer will never be anything other than second-rate in the USA.
