I think this is a good time to remind everyone that 56 wins & a deep playoff run wasn't EXACTLY the expectation. The "gap year" thing existed for a reason. Shout out to the C's for making everyone forget that for 8 months.

It was not ‘for nothing’ This was the plan all along. This roster wasn’t built for a title run. It was built with a 2026/27 vision. Everyone had the JT return wrong…it was always about getting him the reps he needed. This is exactly why Brad Stevens refused to put a ceiling on this team. They exceeded expectations in the regular season & props to @John_Karalis on LockedOnCeltics for nailing this months before Tatum actually returned.

I may never get over Joe Mazzulla’s Game 7 starting lineup decision. Down your best player, just to toss away the 1st quarter of an elimination game. Celtics just scrambled playing catch-up rest of the way. Was it arrogance? Desperation? Grady Little was fired for less.
