@BootleSquared I looked at it, thought “thats a pretty good looking space shuttle” then zoomed in and noticed the jet engines and canards and burst out laughing. 😆

@spinelessaisha Usually I make a bunch of pieces in blender (castle turrets, wall sections, door sections, the keep, different market stalls and stands, buildings, etc.) and the export them to the game engine and use it to move them around and change the layout in an easily modifiable way.

@TrueSlazac When mfs find out that not every new technology is inevitably going to be overvalued.

@Clint_Davey1 I think what needs to happen for it to work is to have “set” civilizational paths that you progress through. E.g. you can play Britons->13 colonies->USA or Britons->england->Great britain. But not etruscans->qing->India.
English

One of the silly things in the Civilisation game is that you have one civ for the entire game. From ancient to modern.
So you have Americans fighting Romans and other such anachronisms.
Really should be that you play as a kind of cultural lineage that morphs into different polities.
E.g. Greeks > Byzantines > Russians.
Daily Roman Updates@UpdatingOnRome
The Americans converted my entire Empire to Protestantism and I fucking lost.

@GoldRoseNET My twitter feed is purpose built bro istg.
English

@FinancialPhys I almost fell for it. Excellent ragebait.
English

Yep
As of today, the federal minimum wage would need to b
$210 per hour
to equal the same spending power $1.60 per hour had in July of 1971 on a 40 hour week
AA ⚡️@AAStack
When you realize that your $25/hr job buys you less today than the $1.60 minimum wage in 1970.

@BootleSquared How many polys for that whole thing? Very excellent sculpt for the fabric and I love the little cage light.

@Aryx3D Welcome to the 'hideous battlecarrier abomination maker club' lmaooo

Aryx3D@Aryx3D
"Aviation-carrying guided missile cruiser" so to speak. (putting an Independence and a Kiev in a blender)

@arceyul Idk. Im pretty ai positive and i think ittl be useful for the 3d workflow eventually, but nothing in this video seemed useful ngl. Writing the prompt to copy materials would take more time than just doing it manually.

los tipos que pasaron años y años aprendiendo Blender y el diseño 3D leyendo esto
Claude@claudeai
Claude now connects to the tools creative professionals already use. With the new Blender connector, you can debug a scene, build new tools, or batch-apply changes across every object, directly from Claude.

@Valahor2 Oh yeah, this one's going on the 3d model reference board.

@HK47empest Whats hilarious is that symbol is a liberal one lol. Anti-fascist Anti-communist Anti-monarchist are the three arrows.
English

@secondbyfarce @Hoodie_Milly @ReviewsPossum Im not some evil capitalist man. I think the purpose of any system of economics is to ensure the happiest healthiest and longest lives possible for as many people as possible. I used to BE a marxist. But like, history has shown that Marx is not the way to do good in the world.
English

@secondbyfarce @Hoodie_Milly @ReviewsPossum So it is 2) a measure of the labor time required to produce a good or service and 1) a measure of the value of said good or service.
Transitively that means the labor required is a measure of value… or LTV
Using your own words and definitions here.
English

@secondbyfarce @Hoodie_Milly @ReviewsPossum Is always going to be less efficient than market determination of value because of the information problem. There are just way too may goods to track for a planner, and most demand information is inaccessible in peoples heads anyways. The market will respond faster. 2/2
English

@secondbyfarce @Hoodie_Milly @ReviewsPossum Sort of, he claims that the value of a good depends on the socially necessary labor time. But how does one define “socially necessary?” doing so requires value to come from consumer demand (value doesnt come from labor then…) or have a central planner. Which CAN work… but 1/2
English

@MichaelButtonX There is a fascinating new paper about this from last year! Basically a combination increased axial tilt and orbital eccentricity resulted in harsher winter that encouraged a more sedentary lifestyle than our ancestors had before. Which relatively rapidly resulted in agriculture!
English

@Hoodie_Milly @ReviewsPossum John stuart mill allowed for the initial influences of marshalls later supply and demand in Principles of Political Economy in 1848. As i said, the economic field had already started moving away from LTV before marx, he just rejected that move because it suited his view better.
English

@RedShiftDreams @ReviewsPossum BTW das kapital was published in 1867 and Alfred Marshall didnt publish principles of economics til 1890
I was just making fun of you for saying "we" keep up pal
