I wonder how many others received this message and cancelled holidays starting boxing day or who freaked out during Xmas lunch that they may have been sitting there infecting their fam with covid!

Got tested at melb town hall on Thursday. Then Xmas day at lunchtime got a message that I may have been exposed to covid and I should isolate until tested. Then late last night (Sunday) get a message to say they made a mistake and I hadn't been exposed to covid at all.

Non-Victorian states should remove the requirement to quarantine between getting tested and receiving results. At this point with such low community transmission I suspect it’s a rule that’s more effective at discouraging testing than limiting spread.
