Lost my trusty fencing pliers at the end of last season. They had been with me through thick and thin for a long time. Had to fall back to my spare pair. I should have tossed the old pair a long time ago. The new ones cut wire so much nicer.

home depot has fallen off... bunch of disinterested people walking around with scanners and no expertise that place used to rule. you'd have a project and a 67 year old ex-foreman named Big Jim would walk you through your entire project. no more... my local Ace Hardware is where it's at now. that's where Big Jim and Joe and Old Ed, the guy who owned a plumbing business for 30 years, work now... happy to help and talk your ear off about washers and lug nuts for twenty minutes... you know, the good stuff.

I was looking at a tankless water heater. I read the little spec sheet that was attached to the price tag. I had a question it didn’t address. I asked a random dude who worked there. He went and got the “manager” of this department. I laughed to myself when a 19-20 year old girl came walking up. I asked my question. She took her electronic device, scanned the price tag, and read the description word for word. She had no idea it didn’t address my question. Further, she kept talking over me as I told her I’d already read that. Fast forward three months and many issues later and I found out she’d sent me home with one that burns propane. I’m natural gas. 😡

My thoughts go out to Tulsi Gabbard and her family, as her husband battles this serious health problem. I hope and pray that he makes a speedy and full recovery. While the circumstances around her departure are deserving of our sympathy, let’s be clear: Tulsi Gabbard’s only positive contribution to our nation's national security is her resignation. She politicized intelligence. She dismantled critical agencies keeping Americans safe. She weaponized the IC to pursue baseless election fraud claims. And more. We must ensure that her tenure — marked by a devotion to the person of the president and not to the security of the country — represents a terrible exception at DNI and not the new normal.

@ElofsonJess It looks like your brace post wire is running the wrong direction. It should run from the top of the second post to the bottom of the outside (gate?) post. The brace wire is pulling the outside post inward, which along with the wire tension will cause wires to loosen.

Fencing in style Learning to put up barb wire might come in handy. It stops cows and zombies.

@cya849 @GarandThumb1 As others have said Springfield is a good choice that won’t break the bank. I would recommend getting some Wilson Combat mags for it though, the traditional stamped steel mags have lots of feeding issues in my experience
