@falkrak No, you just lack self awareness, higher level communication skills and cant mask well enough in front of people. I dont touch these conversations much, but this is the clearest example of misinterpreting ego for intelligence I have ever seen. You don't have an IQ of 150.

@Valeshevik I think its more that it is given more creative freedom that is acceptable. I always think NF where he turns rap into a metaphorical story of his inner dialogue and turns them into badically movies. Its not impossible but hard to replicate in other genres.

@jkelovuori @P_H_S_Official Quitting an addiction with a replacement addiction is a step but its still an addiction. Its why patch + NRT is so deceiving while varenicline and hopefully soon psilocybin are under represented. Because those are tracked using the sane metric but with very different end states

You can genuinely spend like 4 hours in an rpg and feel like you haven’t done anything in it

@davepl1968 I am curious what makes you think IQs over 160. Genuinely. I feel IQ tests do a bad job and some people you can just tell. I have always been curious about mine and have a friend who is incredibly smart and breezed through med school, but I feel like his is maybe 140-145?

@justalexoki Agreed. There have been a few times where I found myself listening to particularly sad and depressing songs because I liked them until it was starting to really bring my mood down.

@patorioto @DeepDishEnjoyer For the most part I dont engage with it. No convinving these people because they will feel like you are missing their point which self-reinforces their view. I do however engage with stuff talking about it lol. I find it so obnoxious that people refuse to take accountability.

@ReddDrift @DeepDishEnjoyer It’s immediately a red flag if I hear someone claiming to be high IQ and they can’t relate to these “simpletons” because they don’t watch sports or mainstream movies etc. It just reeks of faux intellectualism bullshittery

@slantofreality Personally, I think we should be more liberal with short term opioids for pain for SO MANY things with one caveat, mental health evaluations beforehand if there are mental health risks or history Gets more people pain relief and if done probably should not lead to abuse/misuse.

@slantofreality What I DO know as someone studying pharmacy is that we want to achieve a steady state concentration for basic pain management and then occasional break through dosing for more extreme pain. Following standard procedure, hyperalgesia should not be an issue due to the steady state.

Isn’t it INSANE how opioid induced hyperalgesia has never been proven in humans yet it’s regularly cited as a reason to take people’s pain medication away? Then they’ll put these people back on gabapentin with the very real risk of dementia. Like WTF.
Chad D. Kollas, MD (he/him)@ChadDKollas

@ibdgirl76 No, not “many” patients have Opioid-Induced Hyperalgesia. It has never been proven to exist in humans and - at most -is a rare phenomenon. PROP anti-opioid zealots politically pressured FDA into including it on opioid labeling without sufficient evidence of its existence.

@WxPolitics15 Dont do this. Mention a project you did using excel. Basically anyone including people who just figured out functions exist put down Excel as a skill.

@ChadSlimeBased I just mention the projects and the specifics. Gets the point across and far more impactful than 'proficient in excel'. I would feel like a high schooler getting their first job if I put that.

@ChadSlimeBased If someone does that, it better be impressive. For me, I used Excel to render a 4k image, triple the speed of stock counting while improving accuracy at my job, sort and filter a PDF for unique invoices, etc I dont say it and most that do have only figured out sum function exist

My intuition about geometry was catastrophically wrong. I never knew that, in high dimensions, spheres effectively disappear. By 100 dimensions, an inscribed sphere occupies a smaller fraction of its cube than a proton occupies of the observable universe. By 500 dimensions, the volume is smaller than what standard floating-point arithmetic can even represent. The equations are real. Here’s the wild horror hidden in higher-dimensional geometry:

@stableshaman Because they are actually unregistered therapeutics in Australia and are S3 and S4 meaning you need a pharmacist or doctor. So any vape shop selling them is doing so illegally. Its really dumb and the regulation is stupid, but basically they are cracking down on those stores.
