Not only does the "too boring" reasoning still persist, it has also evolved to include "this is too problematic" to justify changes for so-called modern sensibilities. The issue has always been an overall lack of respect for the source material due to perceived cultural necessities. This type of vandalization should never be allowed for any reason; faithful translation is all that is needed & anyone who does otherwise should be forever blacklisted from working with Japanese media.

This is correct. Her initial statements weren't transphobic in nature but instead of having a backbone she rolled over and decided to become a bigot out of spite.
