@_noscar @_bukimi They’re arguing accessibility here. Weakauras created so much accessibility to the game that it’s insane to deny. Right now wow isn’t that accessible like it was with WA. People still are turning to addons to create accessibility. Guilds still will require addons too even now.

@_bukimi @Thdlock As far as my opinion, yes I do believe its good. You shouldnt need addons to play at the highest level in this game. The game itself needs to provide the tools, especially when the devs have to have a back and forth with encounter design and how people use Addons to solve them.

Wow in 2025: Install Weakauras and get a raid pack WoW in 2026: Install 50 addons get an icon pack that destroys all your abilities but makes buffs / debuffs filtered 😀

Okay serious talk here, I am SO against this AI transform feature on twitter, I am SO with you artists in being strongly against this feature, it SUCKS. But I just got messaged saying I cannot use art I paid for in the past on twitter anymore and that just isn't okay. (1/3)

@EsteyVT @MillaNoire But I feel like you shouldn’t or can’t really enforce something like that. Most commissions you can do whatever you want so long as it’s for personal use, which posting is included in that. You can’t really enforce “you can’t post to twitter”, can you? 🤔

@MillaNoire Changing the TOS for the future makes sense, but I’d have to agree with ya here- it’s wrong to go back retroactively when the deal is done.

@Mr_Fresssshy Usually almost any commission you get is a personal license. There’s a reason why artists charge extra for commercial use. But commercial is for selling, personal use, you can post it anywhere. To retroactively tell someone they can’t post their commission is not fair and dumb.

I can’t imagine an artist telling me what I can do with the art I purchased from them. It’s mine now. I bought it. I guess if you are merely purchasing a license to it, you could be restricted in some fashion, but why would someone commission and pay for something they don’t actually own?

@MaciaPaladin Usually commercial licenses are different from personal. If they bought the art with commercial purpose then usually it’s communicated. Normally art only is personal and artist retains commercial rights unless signed away.

@MillaNoire Use Nightshade on the images to poison the A.I. scrapping process, then. And then make an agreement with your artist to show proof of poisoning. Otherwise, I believe the law is not on your side here. And commercial licenses are revokable, with or without compensation.

@jadel4w @AIandDesign If there’s no new art being produced for AI to steal then won’t it eventually just… stop being able to reproduce new works that are similar to what a real artist creates? Artists have purpose. AI is just theft.

Professionals aren’t threatened because we see that it isn’t as good as us. Amateur artists are still on their journey. And how will they ever become great when their opportunities are being stolen? It’s perfectly reasonable for them to be anti-ai when it’s stealing their future.

This is true. I know only a handful of anti-AI folks who actually have a respectable art portfolio. All the others are amateurs in the same way I'm an amateur film / video creator. Only difference between them and myself is the fact that I don't go around bashing people's work.
