Russia illegally and unjustifiably invaded Ukraine. For three years now, Ukrainians have fought with courage and resilience. @ryangrim This is now how transactions work. If you swipe the $5 first it will give you $7 remaining and then the $20 will overdraft your account. You would only get one fee. But also maybe just don't overdraw your account.

Yes, this is a point I've been making and the overdraft thing is a perfect example. If you had $12 in your account and you bought a $5 coffee and then put $20 of gas in your car, what banks would do is flip the transactions and debit the $20 first, then hit the $5 coffee, and boom, you get 2 overdraft fees instead of just one. They would stretch that out over days! Get rid of the CFPB and that stuff will come right back.
