@Redselecter Yes I've had this experience with private they want their $$ confirmation upfront before they even start the vehicle. We had to really get on bad one morning after one of our cyclist had an accident and was unconscious and bleeding on the road..

Jamaica desperately needs proper public islandwide Emergency Medical Service, i.e. proper ambulances with trained EMTs and the right equipment.

@andrewcheeky That would be great if the Fire Service has an EMS unit! I hear you re. treatment but some of that must be in the training of what to do and not to do I would assume.

@Redselecter I do recall some time ago full training and launch of the Jamaica Fire Brigade EMS unit. I was recently informed by a surgeon basically the risks involved in attempting to administer treatment prior to arrival at a hospital is high, such a allergic reactions even blood type.

@andrewcheeky The times in other countries where I have experienced ambulances - they’ve arrived in literally < 10 minutes, have a massive variety of equipment and drugs on board, had doctors on the radio with them, and the EMTs/paramedics were (medically) extremely sophisticated.

I hope Kepa gets to play against Palace. Otherwise no medal or is this just an interwebs falsehood?

My @amazon to door package in Jamaica has been here 3 wks...with the courier. Not 1 phone call, a mystery delivery attempt on May 9 (no call, no evidence on my camera). I'm gonna have to cancel. Also, some items don't ship to JA for free. Better you use your shipping company.

@andrewcheeky This has not been my experience in Jamaica.

@andrewcheeky Fair - I’ve never had success with public responders, if they exist then 119 doesn’t seem to know about them. Private providers I have no quarrel with but having to call around and find one in an emergency is not ideal (nor is having to pay them same time).

@ja_soulja @DIGICELJamaica YMMV but I've had Digicel fibre at three diff locations since they launched it however much years ago and my uptime has been close to 98%.

@Redselecter @DIGICELJamaica Well tbh for me they have the same reliability. Flow actually had more channels for the basic package and u can get football. So there's a plus. So both have mediocre service but 1 has better offerings.

@findpatria @amazon Let me just add that Amazon customer service had no idea about this - they were more clueless than I was about the shipping. They literally gave me a number to call that was like a garbage company in New Jersey.

@ja_soulja @DIGICELJamaica not me - Digicel billing and website is absolutely horrendous, but internet has been mostly outstanding. TV is a mixed bag (much worse now).
