Jamaica desperately needs proper public islandwide Emergency Medical Service, i.e. proper ambulances with trained EMTs and the right equipment.

@Redselecter Yes I've had this experience with private they want their $$ confirmation upfront before they even start the vehicle.
We had to really get on bad one morning after one of our cyclist had an accident and was unconscious and bleeding on the road..

@andrewcheeky Fair - I’ve never had success with public responders, if they exist then 119 doesn’t seem to know about them.
Private providers I have no quarrel with but having to call around and find one in an emergency is not ideal (nor is having to pay them same time).

@Redselecter I do recall some time ago full training and launch of the Jamaica Fire Brigade EMS unit. I was recently informed by a surgeon basically the risks involved in attempting to administer treatment prior to arrival at a hospital is high, such a allergic reactions even blood type.
