5 math metrics every Airbnb host should know 💰 These aren't your typical tips. These are the metrics that show how well your business runs. I've never seen #4 or #5 mentioned before. Hosts should be solving their markets and their competitors. Let’s break it down👇

@FeuxManning @grok @theficouple Renting would have netted him less, it was not about that…it was that he gives financial advice to promote this stuff to others and was providing wrong guidance on his gain, that’s all. Trying to help the lay person with the real math.

Bought a house in 2023 for $260K. About to sell it for $330,000. $70,000 gain in 3 years & 0% tax on profit. …and people say a home is a liability!?

RIP David Skylansky. The Theory of Poker was a revolutionary book that took my poker game to the next level in the beginning and got me intrigued to study and develop my game more. Definitely the most influential piece of literature for my poker career, thank you!

The SEC is now 10-3 in March Madness games. The gap between the SEC and all the other conferences might be wider in basketball than it is in football. We truly are the EVERYTHING conference.

@theblockspot You think LeBron is a top 10 player and you’re fat and out of shape, no one thinks anything you mention about basketball carries any weight whatsoever

Lakers were 37-25. Then 38-25. Then 39-25. Then 40-25. Then 41-25. Then 42-25. Then 43-25. Then 44-25. Then 45-25. Lakers are 46-25. Is LeBron really gonna win another ring?

Perfect Saturday bike trip with my wife 30km along the river, train home, total cost = €3.50 In America this would require driving 3 hours, $25 parking, and a tip to a homeless guy to not touch your car I love living in Europe

@eurofounder @ZachHumphries Having lived in Europe a long time, this is a very ignorant comment from a socialist European not grasping the landscape of the USA and viewing it as the main cities, pretty weak to not have that knowledge yet try to challenge Americans on this.

@patbev21 Of course he’s great, he’s certainly a top 10 player all time, generation is different w healthcare and juice. He is definitely in the top 10, when people say top 20 that’s a little absurd.

@CPATaxTeam Assuming this post is a troll post, I do this, most college is worthless, teaching them and showing the way is the most valuable. Challenging time as a parent to grasp the value Vs alternatives, happy I have 17 more years to see this landscape play out.

We’ll have both kids in college next year. It will be nearly $100k/year. We’re happy to be their supplemental scholarship to better their lives. I can’t imagine a kid of a FIRE parent knowing mom and dad thought retiring on a $60k of annual expenses was sufficient and now can’t attend a school of their dreams because their parents didn’t want to work in their 40’s. Life is about legacy and relationships.

@JonathanLittle Why would anyone still play poker as a single person when the math you learn and crush with is scalable in real estate so you can have 50 assets running over night instead of having to show up and play poker daily? (Net $5MM+ in poker fwiw).

@UziCryptoo Depends and your stuff is independent to your scenario, I’m wealthy so my expensive wedding w no debt after is one of the best decisions of my life. Someone broke should be avoiding a lot of it, but need to asterisk to that.

Things more dangerous than $7 coffees: - $40,000 wedding ($5,000/hr party) - $80,000 degree that gets you a $50,000/yr job - $40,000 car loan because you "earned it" - $2,000/mo apartments to flex for friends ...Thats why 80% of people are broke.

@NotA_Bull It’s an investment in a family and depending upon on rates (horrible vs renting now), it can be better. You’re adding a ton of math to stability and family environment, outside of that, it is a bad investment currently.

Buying a primary residence is a liability, not an investment. You’re paying interest, taxes, and maintenance on something that produces zero cash flow. Change my mind.

@GehrigDieter You nailed it, nba is unwatchable w the non calls on carrying on all possessions, insane traveling and flopping to go along with 3 minute reviews and horrific end game reviews, nba ruined its own product sadly, used to love it.

@jeremyausmus Agreed, but as one of the best players, I had solved the game to today’s solution without solvers and just doing the combinatorics of spots with game theory. It did help a lot close the gap towards myself though.

I really do miss pre-solver poker. Back then, everyone was in the streets trying things with no answer keys. It led to tons of pure exploits and incredibly interesting decisions. You actually had to figure out your opponent in real-time, which created so many distinct, unorthodox playing styles that you just don't see much in the modern game.
