Get this tourney back to August and where the options aren’t extremely limited for venues and the competitive golf season doesn’t feel over in the middle of summer.

It’s PGA Championship week, and I’m curious: What’s your favorite PGA Championship venue in recent times - say, since 2000? I’m partial to Whistling Straits (seen here) and Kiawah Island. I like a PGAC venue that helps differentiate the event from the U.S. Open and other tour stops. These two qualify. As a bonus, they’re both public, and they both show terrifically on TV. How about you guys - what’s your pick?

@bakedtowel420 @UnderdogGolf It is, but they have some solid courses that are fresh off reno’s already on the horizon. They just need to stay away from Valhalla. Frisco is the only stinker in the rota but I feel the same about Pebble hosting a US every 7-9 years.

You know, at the British Open, the weather, and The Masters is The Masters. It's just going to be tough and stressful. PGA Championship could be 3-under could win. Could be 15-under. They just want to host a great tournament."

The @PGAChampionship doesn’t deserve the disrespect that it gets. Is it’s the 4th best major? 100% yes, but look what it is going against: • The Masters with an unlimited budget and one course that it needs to be perfect for 2 weeks of the year. Oh and it’s membership is all in on the Masters- which is its #1 advantage. • The US Open which has one of the two governing body of golf located in the U.S. backing it. It also gets its pick of venues and now locks them in for 50 years. Not to mention it’s the second oldest major and the national championship of the USA. • The Open our oldest major played on stunning linksland. It breathes tradition and inspires golf around the world. The Open crowns the Champion Golfer of the Year. So the PGA Championship is the 4th best major - something has to be. But people bag on it like it’s bad. Look at the last 8 years- the PGA has 100% delivered great champions and some amazing battles! Don’t let the rhetoric get in the way- the PGA Championship deserves more respect than the arm chair complainers give it credit for. It’s popular to bash on it- I get it but this Major almost always delivers!!!

@bakedtowel420 @UnderdogGolf Easily the 4th best tournament of the year tho, it’s like 1 of every 8 pga championships there’s a runaway but every other year it’s a consistently a tight leaderboard and a phenomenal Sunday watch. I’m also glad they haven’t planned venues 25 years in advance like the US open

Golf "creators" are ruining competitive golf. It's one thing to film yourself shooting 82, it's another to invite your cameraman ONTO the green, DURING PLAY. It’s intrusive, disrespectful, and a distraction your playing partners didn’t agree to. Embarrassing behavior.

@MyGolfSpy Not every flex of the shaft works the same either, where the kick point is also one of the most important features of each shaft and how tht measures with everybody’s swing is so important.

I wish someone showed me this 10 years ago. This chart is probably more important than your driver. Most golfers are playing the WRONG shaft flex… and it’s costing you distance and accuracy. This chart makes it stupid simple:

In 2022, Justin Thomas (PGA) and Cam Smith (Open) both won majors and were the two most recent PLAYERS champs. Smith moved to LIV in '23 and is considered "a case study in how to ruin your career w LIV Golf,” per the golf media’s CW. JT stayed and is still marketed as a PGA Tour superstar — despite a worse majors record (2023-26) than Smith's. And who ruined Jordan Spieth’s career? Or Rickie Fowler’s? Or Jason Day’s? Etc!
