The United States government stole this man’s freedom and then stole his military benefits, going on SIX YEARS AGO. Joe Biggs (@TheHatedOne01) honorably served 10 years as a combat veteran for the US Army 82nd Airborne Division, was deployed 4 times to the Middle East, was blown up by two separate IED’s, received multiple awards for service, and two Purple Hearts. This isn’t about restitution or paying him back—in fact, even if his conviction was pardoned, back pay would not be received—this is about the money he needs, and EARNED, to go on with his life. AND THEN… the United States government took a Give Send Go account I created for Joe that had over $4,000 in it…for NO REASON. President Trump should be ashamed of himself for letting Joe, and other veterans, go without the money they earned, when they lost everything standing up to support that man on J6. And even more ashamed that they are still being targeted after all they have been through. And if you remain silent about the continued injustice of J6, you should be ashamed of yourself, too.

I wasn't fired for that reason. That is a lie put out by @theblaze CEO in an effort to cover their ass. I've never refused to submit my work to editorial or legal review. Never. Not once. In fact, the November 8 story that started it all went through 4-5 layers of editorial review, legal clearance, and executive suite approval. Even the official "retraction" (written by attorneys) states: "At all times, the reporting adhered to professional journalistic standards and was published with a good-faith belief in its truth." I was only terminated after my refusal to continue abiding by the "gag order" the company had me under for five months. IN FACT, on the eve of my termination, a Blaze executive phoned to try to talk me out of continuing with my plans to begin telling the whole truth about this story, hoping I would stay with the Blaze. The gag order was my line in the sand. Not the false representation from CEO Tyler Cardon, put out both publicly and via internal memo at The Blaze: "Steve's recent refusal to submit his journalistic work product for editorial and pre-publication legal review made his continued employment at Blaze News impossible." To be absolutely clear: I differed from The Blaze by 180 degrees on how to handle the threat of a defamation lawsuit from Ms. Kerkhoff. The Blaze had even made a pre-lawsuit settlement offer, which I would not have accepted. While Blaze execs and attorneys wanted to remain silent, hoping the threat would just go away -- or settle preemptively -- @HanneReports and I wanted to mount a counteroffensive and fight with the evidence we were not allowed to present publicly because of their gag order. Any other characterization of my dismissal from The Blaze, as described above, is false. P.S. Glenn Beck had nothing to do with either my hiring or firing at The Blaze.
